first day here & introduction

Post by horribleherk » Tue Feb 13, 2018 10:50 pm

I've been growing with store bought leds for about a year now my first led I bought is a Johnson can-6 & later a California light works ss 275 both are in 3x3 tents I'm want to build a cob led of about 340 w.

Welcome! Pics look great. Do you have any COBs in mind in particular? Have you looked at any mid-power diodes like the HLG Quantum Boards?

I've looked at the q/b & the strips as well I haven't decided 100% yet I might supplement the California light works ss-275 that's in this tent I'm considering placing a 65w.300k. quantum board on each side of it as the clw light falls just shy of enough light for my taste in the 3x3 tent I'm on my second round with this light in this tent & it will flower a 3x3 but not with authority ;)

thanks JGG that tent is programming & hopefully I'll come up with a solution by next round quantum boards offer a good value & the California light works light in spite of being blurple works pretty good if I had put their ss-550 in this tent in the first place I would be rocking 8-)

I love my QB's.. I want to do a strip seedling/cloning light next... either or in multi CCT would be a great boost to the cali lightworks!
