I like the repurposed server rack. I don't think I could handle working next to those blurples though.
How many watts are you guys running for your peppers? I have sugar peach under a 120w light, but the canopy is only occupying about half of the light space.

Re: low budget build using laptop charger
I have thought about this too. The strips may send the PSU into thermal shut down. You might do some more research on that. Otherwise go for it but be prepared to fail and have a plan B.

Re: Not getting full power
Interesting. I tried both 16 and 14awg run in the driver to the strips (only a couple of feet) and it made no difference to the current draw. I guess I could try even bigger wire.. Do you have a digital voltage meter? I am not sure it is worth flying blind on this. Use it to check your voltage at v...

Re: Not getting full power
Make sure you are using the proper gauge wire. The further away the driver is the more voltage drop you will see. Using a larger wire will solve this. I gained 98w on my system by updating the wire to 10awg from the driver and then adding a 16awg from the first strip to the last. https://ledgardener...

Re: Luminus CXM32 build.
I was considering making these chips into individual lights for some more flexibility as it’s an experiment for now. Links to some cool heatsinks? Thanks in advance! Heatsinks are the reason I moved away from cobs. You can find some decent pinned heatsinks for cobs on aliexpress. If you start getti...

Re: Basement Greens Light
Thanks.
I have a cotton drop cloth on the way. It will not be white but it should still add a good amount of reflected light. I think this is one of those projects that will be continually upgraded and refined.

Re: Where is my other 100 watts?
Alright, I added the new 10awg at 5ft and ran the 16awg from the 10awg/ first strip to the last strip. Now I am pulling 337w from the wall. I am happy.
