Re: 4x4 build? Eb 2700k cri 90 vs rspec quantum boards?
I faced a similar decision earlier this year. Ended up with some of these; https://www.growlights.ca/320-watt-fb288-lm301h-3000k-660nm-uv-ir-led-fusion-board-light.html I've built dozens of lights over the years, but for me the value of these kits is undeniable. I have a hard time DIYing for less. H...

Re: Fusion Boards (lm301h+ir+UV)
Hey ATPinMotion I’m looking at a set like this and was wondering what driver came with the set you purchased. The set I’m looking at comes with a 320h-48ab and I’m trying to find a driver that’s 0-10v dimming instead of 1-10v. Do you know what I could use in replacement? No problem, mine came with ...

Re: Fusion Boards (lm301h+ir+UV)
This is a tricky question to answer. My opinion is growers are better off with 3500K should they want to use a single light for veg and flower.throwmj5000 wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 7:00 pmWould it be better to to have a "regular/3000k" board and then a separate UV for veg, and then swapping that UV for IR during flowering?

Re: PWM
This gets tricky, because often a PWM driver (or buck) will use a potentiometer to control it's output. I can't think of a LED textbook to recommend, but meanwell has some good resources. I would recommend reading a bunch of meanwell manuals for various drivers and bucks. Mainly, understand the dist...

Re: VPD for humidity control
Nice work, and good question.
Airspeed should be considered as well. Fans above canopy and/or below?
What is your air exchange rate?
Is supply air coming in low and the exhaust exiting high?

Here are the strips I used; https://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/en/bridgelux/BXEB-L1120Z-35E4000-C-B3/976-1732-ND/7907661 In my first conversion I just gutted some fluorescent fixtures and screwed the new led strips to the old fixtures. This was a couple of years ago - I started with a meanwell HL...

Re: Newb: Led distance
Your idea is sound. That kind of approach works best when running a lot of strips at low power. It also requires a really even canopy - works best when running a scrog with clones. Someone posted this diagram here a while back (sorry, can't remember who, happy to give credit if someone can remind me...

Pretty happy with ~10w/sf.
