Re: Lm561c build 36*36 hlg-600h Meanwell
So quite a few people are contacting Chinese LED PCB manufacturers in ShenZhen and getting their own board made to compete against the quantum boards. $6 each eh? This exact same board normally sells for $20! I won't mention the product name because I don't want the originator to find this forum, as...

LED Ribbons/Resistors/CV&CC
Okay my first question is about LED ribbons, specifically the lm561c of course. You see some with resistors, and some without. I'm guessing/gathering the resistors are for Constant Voltage drivers and the Constant Current are without resistors? So those resistors are to protect the LEDs from overcur...

The Quick Question Thread
I, and others I'm sure, are going to have a bunch of little questions and maybe it'd be best to keep them in one thread so we don't clutter up the forum. The motto of this thread is: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A STUPID QUESTION. So that people don't hesitate to ask, so the vibe stays positive and hel...

Re: New Photon Fantom Lights
Ah okay thanks (monos). I didn't know UV LEDs were out there, that's great to hear. I like that experiment idea! The spraying part appeals to the gardening crowd and the submerging part would appeal to the aquarium crowd I guess. That'd be some great original content, people would definitely be inte...

Re: New Photon Fantom Lights
Why not put a thin layer of nonconductive sealant like silicon or something over the led contacts and leave the resin of the led uncovered, so you get waterproofing with no light loss? Doable/not? I'm liking the Samsung strips, UL certified, don't have to worry about counterfeit lm561c (who knows in...

Re: New Photon Fantom Lights
Rather not lose 2% light with optics though.

I love this forum
Took me 30 seconds to decide that I need to join and be a part of this great userbase. I am kicking around ideas for a build down the line and look forward to learning from all of you. The best thing about this forum as a sounding board for build ideas is looking out for each other's SAFETY. My apar...
