Re: Any benefit to getting a light having IR or UV features for growing cannabis?
Hello, I am looking to purchase a (L301B/L301H) LED light for my 39"x39"x70" (3.25 ft x 3.25 ft x 5.83 ft) tent. The tent area is 10.5 sq ft. or 1 m^2. 30 watts * 10.56 sq ft = 316.88 W. I will use the light for the entirety of the grow cycle. I am growing Cannabis. Upon further consideration, I am...

Re: Mounting drivers to wall
Compared to what? My testing has shown drivers run cooler with a heat sink than an air gap. A heatsink is ofcourse better. But if you are mounting to a wall, not using a heatsink, spacers between the wall and driver will ofcourse help :) EDIT: also to note, i hung my two hlg-320h drivers directly o...

Re: New build no Heatsink, EB strips Help!
Hello again! Sorry for reposting in this old thread, but i need to ask; would it be possible to replace the B-model driver with an A-model? That is, replacing the HLG-600H-42B with a HLG-600H-42A! I'm thinking the A-model is a little cheaper and it's dimmable down to 50% without an external dimmer,...

Re: Help with Meanwell drivers
Hello! If you want to use a 36v cob with a 36v driver, you would have to parallel wire them if you want multiple cobs, as in series the voltage adds up. I have only built a strip build, so im not very familiar with cob builds, but it seems you should either run 1x 2400mA cob on each, and if you want...

Re: grow kit for classrooms
This is great information, thank you for the input! There is an LED 48" shop light that claims 250 watt equivalent, draws 45 watts, daylight non-dimmable, 5000 lumens, color temp 5000K and CRI 85 (also efficacy 111). Is this not a good grow light perhaps because it does not have correct spectrum in...

Re: Where is the light.... bridgelux EB gen3
After the ledstrip test I have build up the frame again. Guess what? No light.!!!! It was getting incredibly annoying. I didnt change anything. I only bold on the strips on the frame. And that was the problem! The bolts are making a short circuit. 20191017_231154.jpg I dont have experience with the...

Re: 4x4 Tent Samsung F-series advice
I used 18 awg stranded wire in my F series build, and pre-tinned as mentioned above, but also i used needle nose pliers to insert the wires, otherwise it had a tendency to bend in my experience at least. Not sure if bigger wire would work, as the datasheet says 18awg / 1.02mm is the biggest recommen...
