Re: Is there an inexpensive light intensity or par meter?

Really a cell phone app might possibly work? I was googling and there’s a DIY meter that uses an apogee sensor and a cheap volt meter on YouTube and the person compares it with his 3-400 dollar unit and claims it’s just as good. I’ll try the phone app and see what happens. The DIY I may look into.

Is there an inexpensive light intensity or par meter?

I’d like to be able to move panels, boards, straps around so that coverage is uniform and to avoid hot spots. I’d like to know if I use dimmer how much is being delivered in par at the chosen height. I’m wanting to keep lights at fixed distance and use dimmer if needed. Can someone suggest a brand and...

Re: Optimal coverage for overkill 9x qb288v2 build

Migro has a video of testing a 6 board of 288 in a 4 by 4 and the boards were placed for a very impressive coverage. It looked like by placing the individual boards on individual heat sinks the coverage was 1000-1200 and very uniform. He has an advantage of having a meter and moving boards to the be...

Re: noob to the LED game, looking to build multiple 4x4's

You can make 2 by 4 instead to fit area. I like using 3x 288 boards because they fit nicely in a 4 by 4 and 2 of them cover a 4 by 4 with plenty of light. Strips cover more uniform but if you need room for filters,fans,etc... strips can get in way. It gets tight in rooms so I choose what works best...

Re: Drivers not outputting correct voltage or are my readings wrong?

So it works properly when you have the dim pots disconnected right? Shouldn't the voltage be much higher with these drivers? And if the other driver is outputting 6.27A and the other something over 5.9A, then aren't they over much what the datasheets says about their amperage, and UNDER with voltag...

Re: Setting up QB driver outside grow room

Your good. I use 3 conductor wire for under ground well water pumps. It’s water proof, flexible and can handle 30amps or more. I use 18 gauge to boards then solder multiple wire to it so I can raise and lower or tuck away wires without fear of breaking one and it’s easy to work with. I use it for bot...

What is a good board or strips for rooting clones?

I’m using above the kitchen sink tubes for rooting clones. I put lights right on top of humidity dome on a 2010 tray and it works but better quality light would make clones healthier and root faster. I’m looking for a board or strips that I can put directly on top of 2010 or is it 1020 humidity dome...

Re: Drivers not outputting correct voltage or are my readings wrong?

Your voltage going to boards is between (2.6-2.9)16 or 41.6-46.4
If you got top voltage bin then max voltage is 2.9 but they are binned at 2.8.
It sounds like your system is right on target.

Ledgardener has a video on setting up constant voltage drivers.
