When i DO turn it all the way to the right (%100) it reads 615watts. But i've dialed it back and set it to 440w. That's why i think im running at %60-65.

Did you test other equipment on the killawatt to make sure the problem is not with the measurement itself? Yes. I have a Viparspectra v1200 and the kill-a-watt read it at 516w. its advertised at 520. Also have a v600 rated at 260 watts. meter reads it at 262. So, i guess the meter is not at fault. ...

I actually have 2 kill-a-watts and tried them both with multiple outlets. Same. 617-18watts.
