Re: Solid for 4x4?

Cheers @Led4x4, it sounds like you have a good grasp of the fundamentals. Keep in mind there is some assembly required with the chilled/growmau5 kit (I don't understand why the preassembled one has 6pucks and the kit has 8..??). If you are looking to DIY in the future, assembling the kit will defin...

Re: Solid for 4x4?

When you order stuff from Digikey, Mouser, Future Electronics, Arrow it comes really fast, hold on for the ride, you'll enjoy it! Haha I don't have time for any diy atm, I will 100% for sure do it in the future once I get my grow going. Still leaning towards the chilled logic 4x4 kit for the time b...

Re: Solid for 4x4?

I just want decent light intensity with very good uniformity. Based on that comment your looking at strip lighting and you can make your own spectrum. You can also get a lot of light intensity with strips as well - all in all its a trade off, a cob is point source high intensity with less uniformit...

Re: Solid for 4x4?

For now everyone is focusing on efficiency, and spectrum speech is mostly marketing. I still sometimes use HPS for the bulking phase of flowering :D It's easy to overthink things. You gotta bake the cake before the icing goes on. Until the environment and soil are absolutely dialed it's hard to cor...

You can easily dim the fixture to 400 or 500watts
Yes I just realized that. I've decided to get the kit. What is your take on the exotic and Emerson boards that they sell?

Re: Solid for 4x4?

Best is a difficult term... in some way we would need to know what is relevant to define it. Chilled say they have found a bunch of light recipes, it might be true. Someone posted a link to a scientist who researched light recipes for the Finnish Valoya company and all he had done was grow 3 clones...

Re: Solid for 4x4?

Well I saw a video of Growmou5 talking about the chilled LED fixtures, and since I've been blasting on how generic white led is I felt I have to take that back on the part of chilled LED... their approach is about as non-generic as you could go with the elements at hand. A lot of over kill with tri...

Re: Solid for 4x4?

To me, the industry is advancing quite rapidly. That makes it difficult to throw down for a 'premium' product because in 12mo from now the state of the are will have advanced. If I were in your shoes - wanting a prebuilt quality light, I'd hop on an HLG qb550. They are clearing out the V1's right n...

Re: Solid for 4x4?

Cheers! We grow with Living Organic Soil as well. I don't understand the No-Till monacher - conventional (big ag) farmers 'no-till' millions of acres to feed the world, seeding monocultures with state of the art air drills. They 'low-till' even more! How pot farming with organic nutrients became 'n...

Re: Solid for 4x4?

Do you mind if I ask your opinion on the fluence spydrx compared to that strip board or chilled's puck setup?
