Re: witch cob for 100w usage pliz?

And having a good stock of both cobs and qbs I can confirm qbs are truly awesome. I've combined 4 x qb288 R spec on 2 triple heats ink and added a qb18 for good measure and Emerson effect. Then run the whole lot from 1 480 2100a driver. She's naughty. 550w at the wall. But dam does she put out some ...

Re: witch cob for 100w usage pliz?

Yeah I am aware that since the CXB3590 came out, others followed and they may be "better". I also hear a lot of talk about Quantum boards recently. But, then I dug a little deeper and to me it looks as if Cree is still King if you drive them low, and low and behold, there is even an article here on...

Re: Potentiometer help. Hlg 240h-48ab driver

If it's the standard Chinese white remote box dimmer which I think it is. Sadly it resets after every power off and is not compatible with a timer they should have told you this. The standard Chinese 1 -10v box dimmer (non remote) fits perfectly in the housing and also works with a timer. But you'll...

Re: witch cob for 100w usage pliz?

As an example the clu048 1212 v6 is very similar in lots of ways to the cree cxb3590 and has only 144 diodes but the latest clu048 1818 has 324 of the same diodes so is essentially more than 2 1212s on the same chip. Hence it still being perfectly happy at 110w.

Re: witch cob for 100w usage pliz?

I think some people.may be missing the point here a little, as a cob is a very loose terminology. Some have enough diodes to run very efficiently and happily at only 10w and others can easily run at 250w with appropriate cooling. Led loves to be driven gently granted but obviously you start to exper...

Re: Deep red and far red diodes

Hi I'm having some 288 lm301b boards made up and I was wondering of anyone had any scientific input as to which would preform better 3000k plus 660nm far red or 3500k plus 660nm far red?

All information and data would be very much appreciated as I hope to make the order by tomorrow.

Kind Regards

Re: witch cob for 100w usage pliz?

Generally speaking 100w is too much for your average cob. But with the likes of the citiled 1818 which has a total max of around 240w you can still get awesome results and efficacy at around 100w. As that's still less than half it's full drive wattage potential. They work amazingly well with 180mm h...

Re: Solid for 4x4?

Hi I've just got in some 250w double 288 lm301b board kits with meanwell drivers. In the UK and ready to go. If anyone's interested just drop me a message. Not sure if this is braking some rule or not as I'm not really a business yet just a very enthusiastic gardener. But if it is if someone could l...
