Re: Dimming multiple drivers simultaneously - Help needed

I was referring to the part that the driver has to be loaded to 90 ~ 95% of the rated output for the pot to give smooth and even dimming. Throw three drivers into the mix, all running different % load, I would think the chances of smooth and even dimming across all three would be hard to achieve.

Re: Another First Build

I new somebody would ask that. I started off that way and I came to the conclusion that I had too much heat. The temp would drop at first, lower than my results, but climb up as the channel became saturated. It got hot! That is what I am going with anyway. If I can come up with a lower heat so...

Re: Re-purposing server power supplies

Do you guys think this would work fine with a regular ATX PSU? I'd guess the 12V rails aren't that exact but I'm wondering if it's enough to work with the tolerance on LED-strips like the Samsung SI-B8T05128HUS I use them, not for leds but for other duties like charging batteries. Follow this guide...

Re: Another First Build

So I wanted to test my cheap thermal conductive tape to make sure it was ok before sticking my strips to my channel. My unscientific test was to place a 10 ohm rectangular resistor on top of the channel with a thermistor on top with just enough pressure to hold in place. Applied 5v to heat it up, wa...

Re: DIY LED AC Display to monitor Energy Consumption(Voltmeter/Ammeter)

Yes 60v only, but is great for my parallel build. Also the two temperature ports are nice and the fact that I can connect to my pc for recording and graphing. This unit is discontinued, Medusa said they were going to restart with a new model but I don't think it materialized. The cheap Chinese revol...

Has anybody tried one of these displays or something similar yet? My old Fluke does not do amps so I am using this for my dc side.

I really like it, probably better than an amp meter. I have nothing for my ac side, can't have enough toys.

Which is also why I'll be moving to Canna -- for a 1:1 ratio between nutrient solutions.
Link to a Canna grow please.

Re: COB's vs Mid-Power Strips

Beautiful, that's kind of what I was figuring based on the parallel strip tool. I'm looking at the HLG-240h-24A, so that I'll have plenty of room to scale up in the future with more beds & strips. 6 strips would be 40w at 50%, on a 240w driver your efficiency would be down below 80%. Perhaps LG cou...

It came up after I chose YouTube to sign in. If I recall correctly it was a terms and conditions icon I clicked, it was before I subscribed to your channel.
