Re: Another First Build
@LG Thanks works a charm, you would think they would mention that on the data sheet. Should help inserting a stubborn one also. I just used two probes on the solder points to test the rest of my strips. Save wear and tear on the connectors. I got my strips couple days ago, all test good. Manufacture...

Re: Newbie needs help with first build
You have to give a good push to seat the wire in the connector, and yes make sure it is stripped the proper length. How to get it out again is what I need to know. :o If you are in Canada and have a Princess Auto where you live they have a sale on aluminum stock. https://www.princessauto.com/en/b/wo...

Re: Another First Build
Another question on connections. How do you remove a wire from that Samsung connector, do you just pull or is there a latch to toggle?

Re: Another First Build
@LG
In your strip build tutorial you used 22awg stranded wire, the Samsung data sheet calls for solid wire. Did you have to tin the leads to insert into the strip connector? How delicate are the strip connectors, is the stranded easier to work with.

Re: Samsung F Series
If you run this driver wide open at 24V on these 3 strips without dimming it, they will kick it over into constant current mode after they pull all the current from it. Here's what happens when you max out a "constant voltage + constant current" driver that isn't being dimmed... I'll use the 240H-4...

Are the LT-Q282A strips 11v? Would you not need a seperate driver for them?

Re: Another First Build
@microgroaway Thanks for the wiring diagram, now I understand the need for the connectors. A tutorial for the thermal transfer tape would be good, how much and where to put pressure on the strip to get the diodes seated? @kmb Thanks for the link to Future Electronics, they not only have Wagos but al...

Re: Another First Build
I have a question about the Parallel Strip Build Tool recommendations for my build. My build will be parallel wired and the tool says cv driver but the drivers it gives me are cc drivers. Eg: HLG-185H-24A . Should I be using a cc or cv driver? Edit Never mind, Mouser shows cc on their spec sheet but...

Re: Another First Build
Thanks for the response guys. @charsi Well you got me researching, so much info around and is very confusing. I think 3000k with a few strips of 5000k may be the way to go. @admin Thanks for the welcome, good to be here. I found thermal tape here , seems reasonable, would this work? A diagram for wi...
