Re: Need sugestions for SAD light setup.
I have been using Remez bulbs from Sunlikelamp.com. They are available in 5700K and 3000K, E14 and E27. The 5700K is the most pleasant LED light and very nicely tuned to the very little sunlight coming in, spectrum wise. It really is like an extension of the daylight. The 3000K is very nice for nigh...

Re: Looking for advice for small BXEB slim gen 3 build
Hey @Teknik I heard once that photographers use those kind of blue lights that taper off into green (instead of pure blue diodes). It supposedly adds a blue fresh daylight "glow" that you can't get any other way and I believe it. The result I saw was really nice. Blue mono diodes looked significantl...

Wait a minute. I'm tired now, but when I see it like this I want to say that the difference is not supposed to be so big :O But obviously the plant looks like it got more than enough light. Is the HID plant with much fewer branches? Can't really see it in the picture

Re: KB LED Board build
Cool frame, nice stuff! I heard that if you put plants in darkness for 3 days and then flower them they hardly stretch at all!

Re: Cxm14 retrofit of cheap blurple fixture
Usually trusted nerd sites like digikey, mouser, TME, etc. Digikey is nice because they have a good search filter. There are also websites which sell their own strips that are intended for plant growing. Once you know the part number you can also look on sites like octopart to find a dealer. Indeed,...

Re: Cxm14 retrofit of cheap blurple fixture
For example these drivers and strips can make you a dirt cheap $70 150W grow light. I wouldn't vouch for this because I don't want to be responsible for disappointments Use at your own risk. The driver is pretty shit and flickers in photography. 100w form the wall instead of 75. Just an example of h...

Re: Cxm14 retrofit of cheap blurple fixture
Actually I was planning to do what you want to do now but I will say that if you got gen 3 or 4 you already shelled out at least $64 on excellent COBs. Might as well put them on the cheapest CPU coolers you can find and make an actual kick ass grow light out of it. This is polishing a turd with cavi...

Could you distinguish the plants grown under different lights in a blind test? When you smoke it I mean.
