Re: First time, trying to learn :)
Glad to hear about the tent. That's good service. :) Scrog sounds good. I'd suggest running only one or two known phenos so you have consistency across the canopy. Sounds like that's where you're heading. How much experience do you have with training? For me, training depends on how much headroom I ...

Re: Number of strips/leds/watts required for a 3.5x7 growroom
Welcome to the forum PAIN :) It looks like you've been steered in the right direction by Kaduflyer . The Bridgelux EB3 Slim are your best bet - cheap and easily available. If your room is going to be used only for flowering, go with the 3000k version of those strips. If you will also be vegging in t...

Re: First time, trying to learn :)
A few things to consider sprout : Don't trust the claims of any tent manufacturer. Their reflectivity charts are obviously bogus marketing gobbledygook. Also, IR output in LEDs is so low as to be immaterial to the discussion. More important, though is hanging height. You want to put these strips as ...

Re: First time, trying to learn :)
Hey Mark, thanks for chiming in. I'm curious why you thought that was so important to mention it? Here's the timestamp where gg mentions it and why I wrote what I did. https://youtu.be/ijJsmX_rkQg?t=747 He speaks about wanting to find someone with a 3d printer to design & print some type of strip cl...

Re: Build - Final
Hey Li_Mu_Bai how'd this turn out? :) Curious to see it fired up! Also, if you haven't built it yet, greengenes put up a video on youtube talking about a fixture design using 8020 extrusions and tnutz that makes a lot of sense but requires a little drilling/tapping if the thermal tape doesn't hold. ...

Hi gbaszanda, welcome to the forum. :) Look around and do some research and I think you'll find this site is a wealth of good information - and many people have asked your same or similar questions already. About the samsung 301b/h, they are at the top of the heap, but you can't get strips with them...

Re: Attempting first build
Hey Dragontec, welcome to the forum. :) Looks like you saw my build for a flowering rig. It's a great option for the money, and I don't think you'll find any better options for less. Also, my turnaround time on the backorder of those strips was 3 weeks from date of order. Hopefully you get yours soo...

Re: First time, trying to learn :)
No problemo sprout. It's cool to have forums to discuss this stuff with other friendly, like-minded people. :) If you want to use the thermal grease, use it. If you want to use thermal tape, I agree that it's hit-or-miss when it comes to bonding and you will want to use the nuts/bolts/washers in a c...

Re: First time, trying to learn :)
Welcome to the site, sprout. :) I just got here myself. I think your plan is solid, and it's very similar to what I'm going to do. Your hlg-600h-42ab driver has two outputs, so I'd build 2 fixtures with 10 strips each. Parallel wiring sounds right afaik, but I'm not an electrician, and the other str...

Re: Looking for Opinions on Bridgelux EB3 90cri Strip Options
I'm happy to say that I received the strips today. Exactly 3 weeks from the date of order and 2 days ahead of the FedEx tracking estimate! EB3 strips pkging 1..jpg They were packaged adequately and have all the expected markings. EB3 strips pkging 2..jpg I won't be able to complete the build until m...
