Re: Utilizing 75W Thomas Research driver
just to make sure I understand the math....... in most cases with strip builds, i'm looking to fit strips in the voltage range, and then squeeze a reasonable amount within amount of current available? (with constant current drivers) Yup, that's more or less the process. With CV drivers it's kind of...

Flip Flopping a meanwell driver on LED Strips
For those who aren't familiar with what a "flip flop" means. Its basically a piece of tech that allows 2 rooms to utilize the same ballast (in the hps/mh days) What would happen is each of the 2 rooms would be on opposite 12/12 cycles so that the rooms could share the same ballast. this would be acc...

I work as a grow expert for a company that supplies the hydroponic industry (one of the bigger names of consumable products eg nutes, soil etc) I was adverse to LEDs due to all of the blurple scammers for the last 15 years who would always claim (our shitty 200 watt led is the equivalent to 1000w hp...

Re: Utilizing 75W Thomas Research driver
Looks like it. The strips are 19.5V typical, the driver does 8-25V, so parallel wiring. 3/4A each strip. just to make sure I understand the math....... in most cases with strip builds, i'm looking to fit strips in the voltage range, and then squeeze a reasonable amount within amount of current avai...

Coating lights for moisture/enviroment protection?
I was wondering if there are any recommended ways to protect our LEDS? my first build is bridgelux strip lights. I've noticed some commercial lights with exposed LED strips have either rubbery coating, or some other smooth plasticy coating. Would spray-on poly-urethane work without diminishing thing...

Re: Driver for EB Gen 3
It depends on how hard you want to drive the strips. My reccomendation is to run them at no more than 15 watts per 560 strip. For 6 strips I would suggest a hlg80-20. I'm not sure how difficult they are to get though. One problem with the bridgelux strips is the forward voltage being at 19V for nom...

Okay, Time to Hi-Jack my thread lol. I had to make a new account because for some reason it wouldn't take my password or send me a password reset email.... Anyhow, I'm about 1.5 weeks from harvest now, So far I'm very happy with results, the colas are as big as plants under 315w CMHs and bigger than...
