Thermal tape is an option but when taped its not easy to get them off.
In the nereby future I want to play with different color strips so getting them off easily is a must.

Re: Large DIY Strip Build Questions
Hi
When you buy the slim version eb gen3 and bolt them on always use plastic rings between the bolt and the strip or else there is a chance of short cut. Good luck with your adventure!

Re: Where is the light.... bridgelux EB gen3
After the ledstrip test I have build up the frame again. Guess what? No light.!!!! It was getting incredibly annoying. I didnt change anything. I only bold on the strips on the frame. And that was the problem! The bolts are making a short circuit. 20191017_231154.jpg I dont have experience with the ...

Re: Where is the light.... bridgelux EB gen3
After a hard day work I got myself together and took all the strips from the frame to test them. Because the minimum current is 4.8A I made 3 sets of 6 strips. Guess what? There was light in my life!! 8-) Next step was to put the 18 strips together and turned Io to the max. Yes! The sun wa...

Re: Where is the light.... bridgelux EB gen3
I am going to built up the strips again because I think the problem is in the wiring. But the answer from meanwell about the 2 leads (which can be put together) makes me doubt myself about using a 1.5mm2 main wire. I am going to use the full 11.4A. Is it better to use 2.5mm2? I dont want to burn the...

Hey Captain
Is it in series or in parallel.
When in parallel the 5 strips should light up.

Re: Where is the light.... bridgelux EB gen3
I have tested a single strip. Because the wire of the driver was too thick it was necessary to use wagos . The Vo and Io were at the lowest point of 32.5V and 4.8A Guess what? Leds lighted up but just a quick blink. Not bright and ended with a very low shining of the strip. I think this is a good si...

Re: Where is the light.... bridgelux EB gen3
I have backed up the Io and turned it almost a quarter clockwise (+/_4A).
The strips are 4 ft. I will try it again this evening. And also with another driver.
I'll let you know.

Re: Where is the light.... bridgelux EB gen3
Hey Teknik, Nothing lights up. It gives me 45.2 volts. Just to be shore: i put the multimeter in line between the + lead and the + from the strip. Is this the right way to measure the voltage? Measuring directly at the lead gives me 12.28A and 45.2V when Io and Vo at max. In my opinion the driver is...
