Re: Looking for advice for small BXEB slim gen 3 build

Migro although helpful doesn't have the correct equipment to be able to say some of the things he does. I don't have the equipment to make judgement on UVB leds yet either. I like your honesty. Since I am going to be hooking these up anyways, how would one go about testing for uv spectrum without b...

Re: Does this check out for a 2x4 area?

Are you running your strips perpendicular to the length of your panel? Or parallel? I was planning on running mine lengthwise (6 sets of 2, end to end) But all of the other builds I see are perpendicular. Now I'm doubting myself. Lol

Re: Looking for advice for small BXEB slim gen 3 build

From what I've read, t5 is the way to go for UV a/b. I just figured if I was already going to be soldering the reds, might as well slap on some UV diodes so the setup will look cleaner.

Re: Does this check out for a 2x4 area?

Well I made the idiot mistake of ordering a non dimmable driver. So either I attempt to return it or order more strips. Currently It would be running each strip at 1.1a. Not ideal im sure. https://www.imageupload.net/upload-image/2020/02/04/IMG_1128.jpg I'm no expert by any means. Far from it. That...

Re: Does this check out for a 2x4 area?

Wow nice, that looks sturdy af. I'm doing a similar build. I'm jealous. Scrap aluminum is pricey where I am at. It was cheaper for me to just order extrusions from heatsinkusa.

Re: Looking for advice for small BXEB slim gen 3 build

Finally pulled the trigger on everything. Does anyone see any issues with this array before I solder/wire everything up? Re: Cheap flower initiation diodes (end of day treatment, far red 730nm)

I used U-channel or U profile as they are called. You can also use L channel or "corner profile". I think these 2 types of aluminium is what most people would use. Thickness is 2mm Oh nice. Thanks! Uchannel sounds easier to hang, and a lot cheaper than shipping on 1220 heatsinks. I didn't realize t...

Are you using a standard alum flatbar for mounting these to, or is it an extruded heatsink? I used U-channel or U profile as they are called. You can also use L channel or "corner profile".
