Re: Looking for Opinions on Bridgelux EB3 90cri Strip Options
I have two lights running 10 Gen3 strips each 320w drivers- I'd say that's a perfect choice - you can always dim them - but at that power its a nice light and doesn't get hot if fans are moving air.

Re: heatsink way more expensive than LED strips - other options?
I have a metal recycling place near me - I go there and score sheets of alu and extruded channel and other bar stock and use that to make the light. Super easy and fast - I run 10 gen 3 on a 320 and the alu gets pretty warm but the strips are pretty cool to the touch. It usually costs me about 5-7$ ...

Re: Insane deal on Samsung strips !
I'm no LED expert, in fact I'm basically a beginner. And I was not trying to make you feel bad about your purchase. I was more pointed out that these are way over hyped by people on threads like Rollitup, and people are buying into the $5 vs $29 thing without thinking it through. Compare the ones y...

Re: Insane deal on Samsung strips !
Hey thanks you guys - this is really a great forum. IDK why I didn't research more - I never buy stuff like that ( Hello my name is Falcon and I am a LED addict .....)... too damm stoned.... The truth is I don't even really need another light now - although as it warms up I will as the HIDs come dow...

Re: Insane deal on Samsung strips !
Nah, falcon, they're not a good deal at any price. You've been around for awhile and you know lumens are for humans, so that is a pretty ineffective metric by which to judge their output. You're interested in using LED for efficiency and the ability to tailor your spectrum how you like it, otherwis...

Re: Insane deal on Samsung strips !
This is all an old marketing trick. They are not usually $29, they are often $5. They raise the price to $29 when stock is low, and maybe get a few suckers to buy at that price, but the real effect is that everyone is going, damn I wish I would have bought those when they were $5, and now they are ...

Re: First timer Samsung H Series LED light strip build help
Here's how I made mine : I used a higher volt driver so I could add the red diodes. To cut a long story short ,was about to buy Samsung strips (SL-B8V3N80LAWW)wiring in series then adding red later on diff driver (rapiled solderless),after reading this your build is perfect for what I want ,much ch...

Re: Help needed for small eb gen 3 light build
I think if you did 70w then do 10 strips. Those are a strange voltage - might be good to wire two in series and then make parallel circuits out of those then it would 21.8v instead of 10.9 and they can max out to 11.7v. so then a good 24v driver is easy to find. Also too bad you don't have a few ext...
