Re: HLG600H-30B
Hi, I remember reading on here that mixing colours isnt ideal. Its safer to run all the same strip type as the Vf can vary between colours (as well as strip batches, bins etc). Why not just run all 4000k or is there a particular reason? I personaly would split the strips across diff drivers then you...

Re: Lumileds SunPlus 560 mm Supplemental LED Strip Build and Test
Hi, I wanted to thank you for posting this. Reworking a cheap strip opens so many possibilities! Your approach is very thorough and we'll documented (as always) so it's a pleasure to read. As a side note I wondered if you had ever sourced cheap "metallic" pcbs, their name escapes me right now. Cheers

Re: Cheap Bridgelux EB Gen 3 480W - First Time Build
I imagine it's due to balancing each leg to drive each strip equally. I asked as I didn't think the odd inch or 5 of wire would matter, but in your build you have made a very neat point of doing them the same length. Devils in the detail.

Awesome build my friend
Was there a reason to keep the wires all the same length?

Hi,
Tek linked to a program that allowed you to model ppfd of a fixture. Can't rem what it's called but I will dig through and see if I can find it. Maybe worth having a play with it to fine tune the setup?
ETA - IT's called Dialux

Re: Weird issue with meanwell drivers powering samsung strips
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not familiar with "diode groupings". From my rudimentary understanding of strips (and i m no expert) they are groups of 3v diodes. E.g. 5 parallel groups of 12 diodes in series (12x3v) = 36v 60 diode strip If you work out how your strips are grouped you could short di...

Re: Weird issue with meanwell drivers powering samsung strips
One last thought was to use conductive paint (the stuff to repair heated car glass) rather than soldering.

Re: Weird issue with meanwell drivers powering samsung strips
Hi, I had a thought on your problem with the strips being marginally high in voltage. It may be a daft one, so be gentle. Could you not find the diode grouping on the strips and short one of the diodes on each parallel leg? Essentially just soldering a link around\across it to drop that strips volta...
