Re: Plants not doing well with EB Gen 3 CRI90 4k strips

Here's the thing. Prior to using these LEDs I used Ceramic Metal Halide with 4k bulbs and had none of the issues that I am having now. And I've read tons of threads on other forums of people complaining about similar issues. So, it definitely is the spectrum, or Spectral Power Distribution. There ar...

Plants not doing well with EB Gen 3 CRI90 4k strips

This is in my veg room with recirculating coco system. My plants are showing signs of mag deficiency (see pics), and slow growth, and they start to droop about 4 hours before lights out on a 18/6 schedule. I've raised the lights and tuned them down to were they Lux is only about 10k (par conversion ...

Re: Looking for help!!!

I assume this is for a Flower room? And when you say 30 strips why size are you talking about. I run 30 4ft (approx.) strips, and find my results to comparable to a 1000w HPS. However, I feel like ideally I need 40, and will be adding soon. My recomendation is for a 4x4 table you should run 20 (4ft)...

Re: Looking for Opinions on Bridgelux EB3 90cri Strip Options

Sorry to hear that Ganjah, that really sucks. I don't know if it would have made a difference for you, but a little bit after the 2700k were sold FE listed the 3000k, but 560mm (2 ft basically). I just looked and those are gone now too. I would have mentioned it but I thought you had your 2700s at t...

Build - Final

Looking for any input on this build. I'm ready to purchase. Flower space 4x4 x 2 Led Strips - EB Gen 3 90 CRI 3000k 2 ft x 60 Driver - HLG-240H-20b x 4. 2 drivers per 30 strips. Configuration - 2 strips mounted on 4 foot aluminum angle. This will give 15 4 footers per 4x4 space. Angles will be space...

About to pull the trigger but need help with driver choice

This is my first LED build, and I don't want to f it up. 2 x 4x4 flower spaces. 2 light fixtures, with 20 2ft Gen 3 each but using a 4ft bar. 2ft is all I can find available for the strips that I want. For each fixture I'd like to go with a mix of 10 4000k 90 CRI and 10 3000k 80 CRI. My reasoning is...

Re: heatsink way more expensive than LED strips - other options?

I called around and found a metal place not too far from me, not as good as your place, but they have pretty good prices, They have aluminum c-channel for about the quarter of the cost of heatsink usa, and angle is cheaper than that. I'll probably go with the C just to try and keep things a bit cool...

Re: EB Gen 2 Build Parts Check

I'm no expert, but according to the datasheet 12 of those strips with that driver wired in parallel would require 238.8 watts. The driver is rated at 240w. So you are right up against the limit. I doubt if that would be safe. It would seem like that is a pretty common configuration with that driver ...
