Re: 1x3000K + 1x4000k or just only 1 x 3500 K
I agree with TEKNIK 3000k is fine. 4000k is going to be fine too. I mostly grow peppers, tomatoes and herbs, and in my experience color temperature is not going to matter much. You can control the blooming stage with your nutrients. Just give your plants high phosphorus and low nitrogen fertilizer, ...

Re: Series / Parallel Risk / Reward EB strips
This is interesting though. Has anybody had any issues on running the strips higher than what the strips DC limit suggests. For my setup they are running at ~103-108V. I wonder if I will have issues later on or possibly shorten the lifespan of the strips. I sure hope not. Peter is giving good inform...

Re: Strip build for 2x1.5ft vegging space
I'm running 9x gen3 slim strips with 800x400x3mm aluminium sheet. I can run the strips with 1.4A without the sheet getting too hot touch. Now there is no reason to run them that hard and usually i run them around 1A. Using that as reference point I think we can safely assume you can run your 4 strip...

Re: Finished build (first light)
My original idea was to go with nro.2 since it's just more simple to do... I was mostly curious on how this new setup would compare to the old setup luminance wise. I came to the same conclusion as you that the distribution should be better and the luminance should be about the same. Good news is my...

Re: Finished build (first light)
If I were to double the amount of strips I have but run them in parallel would I be getting more light or roughly the same amount? Each section would get 700mA or less if dimmed. The spread would be more even thus it might be better for the plants. Another question is how does the driver handle this...

Re: Namaste 🙏
Growing peppers is fairly straighforward, just be careful you don't overwater them and you should be fine. If you have any questions about soil, watering, light amount just pm me. We are probably on the minorities in here since it seems like you aswell don't grow cannabis. Our light needs are slight...

Re: Finished build (first light)
That one crossed my mind too. The biggest factor for me is which one blocks most light, and they can both block equally well if you just double them up. I guess it all comes down to what my local stores have to offer. I'm still pondering on how to set it up. The optimal solution would be to build it...

Re: Do I need heatsink?
Hey, Thanks for your reply. I actually managed to already build my system but I still appreciate your feedback. I kinda have to agree with you, maybe a better choice would have been to run double amount of strips with a bigger driver. Well as always these things are learning experience and I think n...

Re: Finished build (first light)
Good idea, the reflector was actually something I was thinking about and I will probably use some Mylar to create one.
