Solar Inverter and Battery

Hi guys, I'm looking to upgrade my existing Solar PV system and looking at the installer fees which is almost double, I would like to try to do this myself. Are there any core things to configure on inverters etc? Any tips will be very welcome. I currently have a 4kW inverter and it is to be upgrade...

Re: Help Please - Crash course on lighting circuitry (Volts, circuits & drivers)

The strips are stuck down to a Aluminium Channel 1.1/2'' x 1'' x 1/8" (38.1mm x 25.4mm x 3.18mm) with thermal tape. Not sure how much of a heatsink effect this will have on the lights. My multi-meter has a Thermocouple wire thing. If i tape that to the "Case Temperature Measurement Points" as indica...

Re: Help Please - Crash course on lighting circuitry (Volts, circuits & drivers)

Looking at the data sheet for the led light, does the Typical Power (W) section mean that it is at that level we should not exceed?
Or if the power was to exceed, what would the conditions be?

Thank you

Re: Help Please - Crash course on lighting circuitry (Volts, circuits & drivers)

I was being very stupid, by trying to be clever 🙄
Maybe I was tired too....

The wires were crossed from the driver to the light. 😵
Swapped them around and vola!

Thank you SOOOOOO much for your help!

Re: Help Please - Crash course on lighting circuitry (Volts, circuits & drivers)

I had a disappointing end to the day today :( I stuck my lights down, wired them all up as per the illustration and then wired up the lights to the driver. I wired up this Potentiometer https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122248907777 to the driver too. After turning on the power, nothing 😭. I used my new mu...

Re: Namaste 🙏

Thank you R^2 I used to grow cannabis many years ago (almost 20) when I was in college. It was just a rush to try something out where so many people had such passion in a substance and the amount of politics that was involved in this subject. Turning 37 I think I can come back to the field of garden...

Re: Help Please - Crash course on lighting circuitry (Volts, circuits & drivers)

Went and ordered a multimeter and power meter.
Should be coming tomorrow...

Is the wiring as shown here going to work?

Re: Help Please - Crash course on lighting circuitry (Volts, circuits & drivers)

Thank you PeteR_1.

Would that mean I should be good to use it out the box, but I should really use a multi-meter and limit it down to 39v from the bottom Io while maxing out the Potentiometer?

Sorry for the silly questions...
