Re: LM301B board that we've been working on
Yeah it's always just trade offs with stuff like that. Series circuits can push voltages too high and increase risk for danger. They can limit the ability to use the absolute maximum wattage of the drivers in some configurations, such as these hypotheticals. The expandability option to add more iden...

Re: Quantum Build opinions
I have a flower space with 3500K Vero COBs and recently QB's were added to push me into the silly overkill levels, QB288 V2 at 3000K. The 3000K is just yellow enough to sort of ruin the amazing work environment the closer to neutral white balanced 3500K lights were giving me so I dim them down when ...

Re: LM301B board that we've been working on
It seems like it would be easy to match up these boards 54V ratings to CC drivers with some oomph in them such as your 240H models. The lower wattage versons of the CC drivers just don't have the right currents available to run singles of these boards effectively. You'd be looking at series wiring. ...

Re: Quantum Build opinions
COBs are still pretty great. The QB stuff is just pulling away from them in the peak efficiency and has some simplicity of design and implementation stuff going for them. The strips with mid power diodes being another popular choice these days. If you are having multiple areas for veg and flower, th...

Either of those should work just fine for your application.

Re: Quantum Build opinions
I would certainly stick with 1 multipurpose light for the space. 3000-3500K, as sdfoster22 has said will do you very well all around. Having the 80cri floor on white LED is a true game changer vs the abysmal 20cri HPS or 65cri MH lights when 2 lights were beneficial for swapping. Not to mention the ...

Re: Questions / Non standard config.
As sdfoster22 has said, it may be a bad idea to use the U channel as reflection with these. Maybe push them even more exaggerated like for a more edge favoring design. the smaller the tent the more you want to really push to the edge, in my opinion. Keep the driver on top if anything also, so it's n...

Re: AC wiring for 2 drivers
Hey. Just wire up the drivers AC input sides to the power cable in parallel. Triple check the wiring and color matching. Don't overload the capacity of your cable when doing this, some are good for 10 amps. Your pictured build should be fine with those 2 drivers. If you want them through a nice wate...
