Vesta Gen 1 Strips on 24v driver.
Hey guys, I've got a good number of 24v constant voltage drivers in my collection. A 200w, 2x 150w and a few smaller ones. I noticed the gen1 vesta strips at a crazy cheap price on digikey. Given these things run approx 25v at nominal drive current how would they go with a 24v CV driver behind them?...

Any basic UPS that has an output relay should do the job for you.

Re: ELG vs HLG
You'll need to measure both voltage and current on the DC side in order to know if you're putting your QB's at risk. Its well known that 'A type' Meanwells deliver higher output than they are rated. Personally; I'm cheap so use ELG's over HLG's. The Io/Vo adjustment is on the underside of the driver...

Re: Updates on Shipping from China?
I've had some AliExpress parcels come through in the past week. A couple others have gone AWOL though.

That driver is a high voltage version.
277-480V AC input. Not a real standard supply for most.
May not work for you.

Re: Heating in the winter
A decent seedling heat mat sitting underneath some concrete paving stones does a good job. Acts like a heatsink and regulates temperature without having the dangers of more conventional heaters. Did the trick for me anyway.

Things are getting cold.
Hey growers! My grow has currently been reduce to a large cabinet in the garage but as its winter things are getting a little cool in there with lights off temperatures getting down to 14 and 15 degrees celcius and it hasn't really even started getting cold. Currently 2 Sonoff switches are doing the...

Re: New POW R2 from Sonoff.
Necro thread dig - but Sonoff POW R2 now has the option to keep the power state the same after a loss of power.

Re: Vero 18 build advice
Vero 18 C's are the best performers but also slightly pricier. It might come down to availability for you. I have a fitting I built for a 4x2 space using 6x 3500k 80cri and 2x 2700k 90cri. Choices pretty much came down to availability. The meat chip has such low efficiency compared to the rest, 90cr...

Re: new bridgelux model? VESTA® 90CRI, 130lm/W
What is your exact circuit voltage? 8 strips at that drivers constant voltage would want 4.8A, which is outside its range therefore kicking it into constant current mode. Maybe?
