if using a 1400H meanwell driver, does that mean ill drive 1.4A?
using this LED https://www.digikey.com/products/en?key ... 10-2221-nd
specs indicate it tested using 1.12A
forward voltage 46V
no spec for max current
using this driver that is 1400H, that would mean im actually using 1.4A not 1.12A right?
so power = 46V * 1.4A = 64.4W
is that correct

Re: How to determine which driver fits a 2x2 build?
200W is comparatively not that expensive to run, I would recommend this wattage. Yes you are right as you can see here there are various models of those drivers. https://www.meanwell.com/Upload/PDF/HLG-120H/HLG-120H-SPEC.PDF Constant current designs: https://www.meanwell.com/Upload/PDF/HLG-120H-C/H...

Re: How to determine which driver fits a 2x2 build?

How to determine which driver fits a 2x2 build?
I read on the site that 120W is typical for a 2x2 space. I also see LEDGardener mention a lot of drivers that are different but yet share the 120H property but different endings (https://ledgardener.com/diy-led-strip-build-designs-samsung-bridgelux/ ex: Mean Well HLG-120H-C1400B Driver Mean Well HLG...

Re: How much light / what type of light spectrum for mother plants?
Ah, so 5000k is ideal. I did not realize this was considered "vegging" the mother.
Any thoughts on wattage? Same amount as normal cycles or a tad higher/lower?

How much light / what type of light spectrum for mother plants?
How much light / what type of light spectrum for mother plants? Going to use these mothers for cloning, but could not find much info on what mother plants need in terms of what color spectrum is best for them (ex: LED flower/veg full cycle ~3000k is ideal, veg only ~5000k is ideal) or in terms of ho...

Re: Power strip (5+ outlets) with a weekly timer?
I started out using these programmable power strips. I don't think they are a good idea. The ones I've used rely on a little watch battery to keep time, and the manufacturers want you to replace them every 6 months or so. If the power goes out or if you trip a breaker when the battery is dead, the ...
