Since we're into gardening, it would only be apt to reference the tulip craze.
The value fluctuations turn it nearly useless as a currency, and as a commodity it's highly dubious. Many people are into gambling, which is fine too. As with a casino, don't gamble any more than you're ready to lose.

Re: Anybody in Europe for a bulk purchase?
Hey majorana. Did you find anyone for a bulk order? I enquired lot of sellers on alibaba but I never ordered cause I can't afford the price of a bulk order. Anyway on rollitup forum some users got boards from Shenzen but they found out lm561b or b+ diodes are used instead of lm561c. Some sellers ar...

Re: No way to get proper heat sinks in Europe
Major promblems getting chep Heatsinks in europe.. Sometimes you have daytrade deals on [link]https://www.led-tech.de/de[/link] Else http://www.fischerelektronik.de/ is allso there.. You can also just order from the US via [link]https://www.digikey.de/[/link] These look like very promising leads fo...

Re: Cooler master X dream K640
Keep in mind that the thermal conductivity coefficient of copper is twice better than that of aluminum. Copper pots, besides the gorgeous looks, are better than others (e.g., steel, aluminum) for some purposes precisely because they give a better spreading of the heat. With such a heatsink you can p...

Re: No way to get proper heat sinks in Europe
A sheet of aluminum would be sufficient for most PCB uses, and definitely strips. Aluminum sheets and U-channels are readily available at at hardware store even in Europe. The tricky part is heat dissipation with COBs, which generate much more heat on a much smaller surface. Passive heatsinks for th...

Re: No way to get proper heat sinks in Europe
when I said "back that up" I meant: do you know a reliable product and do you have accesss to datasheets that you can provide via links. [...] You said, you would build your next grow on that technology, so you must have a rough estimate concerning how much of those PBCs you need, what color temper...

Re: No way to get proper heat sinks in Europe
But there is something utterly wrong with that equasion - a complex piece of engineering and a chunk of metal...and the chunk of metal is more expensive...especially in shipping and taxes and stuff[...] Makes no sense. I have seen setups with PBCs on Youtube. I have to say, they look kind of small ...

Re: No way to get proper heat sinks in Europe
I had heatsinks sent together with my COBs directly from where they're produced, Shenzhen, China. KingBrite is a reputable Alibaba source for both. Given their weight shipping isn't cheap, but it was the cheapest option possible. You can, of course, go for active cooling, in which case CPU heatsinks...

Re: Anybody in Europe for a bulk purchase?
If that seller is indeed HLG's supplier then they have signed an agreement and if he's selling you their design then they are in breach of it. They are stepping on HLG's toes, not you mate. I'm not sure how actively involved either reseller actually is when it comes to production. These factories w...

Re: Anybody in Europe for a bulk purchase?
Do you mind sharing the seller you found and how you came to trust they're sending you top bin diodes. Much appreciated. By many. I'm Sure. Including the alibaba seller. I'm sure. I have no wish to keep this information a secret, I just don't want to step on anybody's toes by accident. At any rate,...
