Re: Hacks to support overweight colas?

For any of the pro growers who might be reading this:

Would bombing the tent with ozone be a good idea?

Besides killing the mold it would probably get rid of any fragrance the plant has developed so far, but perhaps with another 10 days that will recover?

Re: Hacks to support overweight colas?

Sad update: I noticed some browning of a couple of colas, which I thought was "burning" due to proximity to the lights. After raising the height and waiting for 48h I saw the browning increase and spread. Only then, upon closer inspection, did I realize it's a mold infestation. (RH around 50%, +/-5....

Re: building a quantum set up for a 5x5 on the cheap

I've had very poor experience with Mufue. They were nearly a month late on delivery, and by the time I got the strips and realized I got inferior diodes with inferior build quality it was too late to order from another supplier. (Grow cycles have their own schedule, they can't wait an extra month.) ...

Re: 600 watt no heatsink F-series strip build finished

The whole light is assembled only with this tape . This thing is insane! I remember you linking that tape before. Being able to hold the weight of a 4' strip with sticking only two points of 12/20mm -- that's some mighty strong tape. I'll definitely order myself a roll, I see myself reordering my 6...

I second LG with being impressed with the wiring. Very nice job. How are the strips attached to those two long strips? How do you plan on hanging this fixture?

Re: Hacks to support overweight colas?

I have a Blauberg extractor that does 520m3/h. At 36dB, and inside the tent, I'm perfectly happy with it: powerful, reliable, yet quiet. If I can find a dehumidifier that would be the same I'd happily invest. While in veg I keep it off, and RH is around 60-80%, depending on the weather. During flowe...

Re: Hacks to support overweight colas?

The plants drink up approximately 20L/day at this point, which they later release as vapor. Being in a humid region and growing underground (literally) means it would get very humid very fast if I don't take care of it. I have a constant issue with the dehumidifier that would randomly fill up its in...

Re: Hacks to support overweight colas?

Do you have anything to remove moisture, besides the venting? One way to reduce moisture at lights out is to dim the lights out. And warmer temperatures increase the VPD, reducing moisture... :D During my first grow, when I was so clueless I didn't realize plants generate humidity, I tried those sa...

Re: Hacks to support overweight colas?

In the 24 hours since I've noticed the major collapse it looks like one of the plants developed some moisture problem (the flowers seem "mushy"). Hopefully it will pick up. Hopefully also the bamboo sticks will survive 14 days or so. There were plastic sticks in the gardening store, but I try to avo...

Re: Hacks to support overweight colas?

My hack: babmboo sticks. stuck them thru the pot (probably hurting some poor roots) and tied the top part of the collapsing colas to them.

I have no idea why I ever grew ruderalis/auto strains in the past. There's simply nothing to compare with what's growing now.
