Re: Nature magazine article
Long time no see! How have you been doing? I'm good, thanks! Now that ambient temperature is going down I've donated my strips+menawells to a friend, and I'll be reading up on the latest and greatest starting February, to get ready for popping seeds in March. Who knows, perhaps the HLG+Samsung part...

Well, LG, your country is at the forefront-- and even Nature magazine covered it: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-018-07037-1
No useful information in the article, but it's exciting to hear the serious research is beginning to happen!

Extraction
Anybody here with experience extracting oil using butane, or any other solvent? I've done some reading, but would appreciate any tips or pointers from anybody with experience so I can follow up with some more questions. (My last attempt using alcohol was a miserable fail, but it was rushed and cluel...

Re: I mean, come on
I don't know what your light fixture is like, but would it be possible to tie the colas to the top of your tent? I've seen something similar with greenhouse tomatoes. I think you still need the stakes, but the idea is you tie them to the top of the tent with string. I'd be careful about tying colas...

Re: Takeshy Organic/DWC LED Grow
Right on, thanks for the lead, I'll check it out. Keep me updated if you manage to figure it out-- the few tutorials out there only ended up getting more confused. It's probably fairly simple, but I couldn't find a simplified explanation of it. I might look into that myself too for my next closet m...

Re: Hydro System Recommendations
Okay! I just ordered a blumat kit some days ago. Did some of you test the maxi version ? I took both, but maybe the maxi version will perform better in a bigger pot. But I'm seeing all of you recommending coco & I'm growing in biobizz soil. Will test & see the results! I'm guessing that with soil t...

Re: I mean, come on
Just chiming in an reporting a similar experience. But it's also been a mixed experience: I used 5 seeds of the same pheno that were sold together -- and each behaved quite differently. The quickest was probably ripe more than a week ahead of schedule (65 days), others just a couple of days. My pers...

Re: Takeshy Organic/DWC LED Grow
I'm kinda going back and forth between going all out and doing rdwc, or just staying simple and with an autopot setup. The thing that's holding me back from choosing rdwc is I'm having a hard time sourcing top quality parts to to diy it, and I also don't want to spend current culture prices. I have...

Re: Hydro System Recommendations
What do you think about the AutoPot system ? Did someone try it? I've seen a few different systems which use a similar mechanism. The thing I don't like about them is the plastic pots. I, and the the plants, like either airpots (expensive) or fabric pots (cheap), which do a great job at aerating th...
