Re: new bridgelux model? VESTA® 90CRI, 130lm/W
2700K may be better than 3850K for flowering. but in the end it's still more about overall photon count i believe.

Re: cheap, dimmable drivers by "thomas research products" + display
i used a 50K pot, but upwards of 10K resulted in the driver already delivering it's max. 3A at 25V. so 10K is enough. i will order 10K pots (and 20k as a security) from AliExpress and replace the A50K. cost: 5pcs: 1.2$. plus some knobs. A-type pots have a logarithmic curve (like the driver dimming r...

i wonder about the overall efficiency of this setup (consumption from the wall vs power output).

Re: new bridgelux model? VESTA® 90CRI, 130lm/W
lots of people recommend 3500K for combined veg&flowering, so 3850K with 90CRI (red shift) spectrum seems similar enough. i am no pro tho

Re: cheap, dimmable drivers by "thomas research products" + display
Is there a way to dim these as a group, if I make a light using 6 TRP drivers with 9 vestas? I am going to run a few tests with 2 drivers this weekend. i reran the test with a second driver hooked up to the same potentiometer. see orange line for output measurements of 1 of the 2 drivers TRP 75w po...

Re: cheap, dimmable drivers by "thomas research products" + display
i know they do, but they also mention resistance dimming there.sdfoster22 wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 9:48 pmI saw in the datasheet that it recommends a leviton ip710 or compatible dimmer.
and isn't it way cheaper and easier to just use a potentiometer?

Re: cheap, dimmable drivers by "thomas research products" + display
Is it the same with the meanwell drivers if you wanted to dim 2 drivers at once? 25k pot, instead of 50k? i don't know about that, but i just did some tests with the 75W driver and 3x560mm VESTA strips connected it seems an A10K potentiometer is enough. i just have difficulties understanding if the...
