Re: Minimum required spectrum
this might be of interest:
PAR per watt and "active"PAR/W for different temps and CRI. lower CRI wins for PPF/watt
but higher CRI wins for activePPF/W
*it's for citizen COBs but might be applicable to all LED lighting

Re: Bridgelux Horticulture
80CRI have the most PPF, but only 5% more than the 90CRI found this on RIU: CLU057 A-PPF.PNG CRI 70 has highest PPF/watt, but CRI 90 has highest active -PPF/watt it's for Citizen COBs but might be applicable to all white LED i know it's wrong to disregard all 510-610nm photons. but CRI90 might actu...

on blackdogLED is written: "... UVA light alone can increase THC and CBD production in Cannabis plants. Re: spectrum of bridgelux & samsung strips
Every single person i gave this simulator deleted the multicolour background on the graph  is it so ugly? :D lol i don't have libreoffice installed. excel has deleted it i guess. and concerning the VESTA series: they have 2 color temperatures on one strip, making it perhaps more difficul...

Re: First Light Questions: Tape, Glue, or Grease ?
i used the blue 10mm thermal tape to attach my f562B to simple aluminum L-profile (not a heat sink). it doesn't get over 45°C on the back @ ~ 80% load. so tape is enough.
the epoxy-PCB of the strips is the biggest barrier to heat transfer anyway

your calculator/simulator from your other post is amazing. https://www.catupload.com/download/015bae3571d655ab79c55b8f2722cf70.html lm561C vs bridgelux gen1.PNG i used it to compare bridgelux EB GEN1 (dark line) with LM561C (pink line). if Gen 1 fares so good, i wonder how EB Gen2 does (or VESTA ser...

Re: new bridgelux model? VESTA® 90CRI, 130lm/W
using the constant current driver, HLG-185-1050, for each and wire the 2700 all to one and the 5000 to the other. Would that work? since i am a noob, using 2 drivers is the only way i can think of that enables us to benefit from color temperature regulation. but i think 1050mA is too much for 1 row...
