Re: and I guess that's why they call me a noob... 132's driver
I think you're onto something here.
Thicker wires will allow more current. LEDG suggests 18 gauge wire from Wago to board/strips, and 14 gauge from Wago to Wago. Also, the length of wire used can adversely affect power, especially with wire that is too thin.

Did you get these strips from Digikey?
I've been waiting on some 3000k and 5000k myself...

Re: Samsung LM561C S6 from start to finish
Hi, and welcome to the forum! I think you mean from seedling to harvest...right? Most people consider "propagation" to mean rooting a new plant from seeds or cuttings/clones. That said, I'm assuming the above. Many people maintain that mixing two different light temperatures (in equal numbers) will ...

Re: Ready to Wire !
It looks very clean!
How much longer than the light strips did you order the heatsinks cut? I ordered 45" for 44" strips, and am thinking I should have gone 46"...but I only have a 4' cab to work with.

Re: new bridgelux model? VESTA® 90CRI, 130lm/W
I've done a ton of research on the mixing of LED temps, and the general consensus is that adding, for example, eual amounts of 3000k and 5oook essentially just gives you 4000k light to your canopy. Again, not MY information, but responses of folks who've grown a lot of LED runs, including side-by-si...

Re: Need A Sanity Check On A New Build
Hi, and welcome to the forum! I'm kind of in your same boat, and waiting for parts to complete my first LED build. I can't answer everything you're asking, but I might be able to answer some stuff until the pros get here. First of all, have you seen LEDG's post on example strip designs? There's one ...

Re: Let's Help J.R.R. Build His LM561C Strips Project!
Without a lens or reflector the light will come out at approximately 120°. The ideal distance from the wall would depend on the height over the canopy and whether or not the wall is reflective. You can do the math, or you can test empirically. Yeah...I guess I'll need to wait to get the strips deli...

Re: Yuji LED... any one know this??
YUJI LEDS. 96 CRI, Supposedly As Close To The Sun As LEDs Get. After a couple hours researching them, they look pretty damn awesome! But keep in mind, I'm admittedly not yet the best at reading/interpreting Data Sheets, so informed opinions would be VERY WELCOME. WOW...these look like the real deal....
