maybe from a different company.. heatsinkusa only has the one 1" profile.. I'm sure there are other "types" of 1" heatsink profiles out there.. I just haven't had to look much yet.. since I've only have built 1 strip light..

yep that's correct.. "at 1400ma or less, the 1" heatsink usa profile will work fine.. if your going over 1400ma ( like 1750ma) get the 2" profile..
