Re: "LM561C" Boards and Strips from Bright and thoughts on dealing with Shenzen mfg's
r2t from alibaba has some new boards with LM561C & additional 660nm diodes on it, optional fixture with integrated meanwell driver. also available with added 450nm LEDs I saw these when I was looking for my boards. They look pretty cool. Although I did notice that the spectrum chart embedded in the...

Re: My new Alibaba PCB 550 3500k
YUP that's it! I switched the positive on one side to the ground and the negative on the other side to the ground and BOOM 450 watts! Okay so its a "Alibaba 450" but hey I'll take it!

Re: My new Alibaba PCB 550 3500k
I think I got it. I connected positive and negative on both sides of the junction. I'm guessing I'm suppose to connect positive/negative from the driver, positive/ground on one side and negative/ground on the other side to make a complete series circuit?

Re: My new Alibaba PCB 550 3500k
Is it supposed to be wired series-parallel like you have it, or does it need to be all series like the 550? That’s why I was curious about voltage. The discription on the invoice from the manufacturer says "52-130w, 48v, 1080-2700mA". Series-parallel? I thought there was only series or parellel, i ...

Re: My new Alibaba PCB 550 3500k
Interesting. What voltage do these boards run at? I don't know why but there seems to be an issue. It's only drawing 223 watts from the wall https://i.imgur.com/f1X418i.jpg It's also reading 119 volts and 1.9 amps. I have the driver turned up to max current. Do you think it's a problem with the jun...

Re: Growmau5 100W 48V 2A pucks for $50 (220pc lm561C)
Hello! I'm here to respectfully disagree :) Not every DIYer's motivations are the same. I, for one, am attracted to DIY to push the envelope of what is possible. To seek out new lights and new technologies. To Boldly Go Where No Grower Has Gone Before. After exhaustive research, no commercial light...

I don't know if it's just me but I feel like Growmau5 is letting his fame in the growing community get to his head. I was watching his live stream one day and he was going on a rant about multiple things. One of them was about people buying stuff from China to cut costs. I'm sure it was motivated by...

Re: "LM561C" Boards and Strips from Bright and thoughts on dealing with Shenzen mfg's
I have been talking to Rita for a couple of weeks at Shenzen. is $27 a good price on their boards? Yes, Rita from Meiju is nice, and confirmed original LM561C just avoid Bava, got boards from them with all mixed diodes... zener visibility is varying from diode to diode ... enough for me to confirm ...
