Re: Cree Strip Build
Here's a picture of it all wired up and ready to go! It's now mounted inside my tent with far too much steel chain. I don't know why I thought 2 metres for each side was the right amount!! My tent isn't even 2 metres tall... ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Cree Strip Build
I finally managed to get this assembled more or less to my satisfaction. I'm waiting for the drill to charge so I can widen the holes in the middle for airflow, as suggested by sdfoster22. Parts: 8x Cutter Strips of 112 diode Cree 3030 Series LEDs ZPE 250w Constant Current Driver 100k potentiometer ...

Re: Help! Got solder on COB
Whew! All that for nothing. I carefully removed the solder that fell on the diode last night and when I plugged everything in today, all the LEDs on every strip were working!

Help! Got solder on COB
I was soldering the wires up to my strips tonight and got a tiny bit of solder on one of the COBs near the terminal.
Is there anything I can do? Have I killed that whole strip? I wonder if I could just replace that one chip...

Re: Need advice 312led quantum board drivers
What are the specs of those boards? Min/max current, for example, and what voltage?

Re: Need advice 288led quantum board
The driver you need will depend on the board/configuration you decide on. The HLG QB288s are 54v, as I recall, so that drive wouldn't work with those boards as it's a 24v driver. The Italian board I posted earlier is probably a different voltage/current yet again, so it really depends on what you wa...

Re: Need advice 288led quantum board
I saw this board http://www.flowerpowerbologna.it/epages ... ducts/6000 on another forum. It's more expensive, but it also has more diodes. And shipping probably won't take as long either.

Re: Need advice 288led quantum board
Yes, but the eBay board still doesn't have a driver, which will probably cost you another $100, if not more.

Re: Drivers for Sol-Skin 2 channel board?
I think I'll run it a bit dim to get closer to 30w/sq. ft to save on electricity and improve longevity that way.
The next step will be wiring and programming an Arduino-clone to use as a wireless dimmer.![Twisted Evil ](./images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif)

Re: Need advice 288led quantum board
I would look at the kits here: https://www.diyleduk.co.uk/diy-led-kits It's in the UK, so there's no customs. Also, the light you posted doesn't include a driver, so the 150w kit from DIY LED UK will probably come out to the same price. Edit: That link you provided on eBay says it ships from the US,...
