Re: Help me to build my dream setup!

Just a quick my idea notes. This is considering you want something toward the budget end of the highest tech. Just the core drivertrain components for you here. Strip build utilizing Bridgelux EB Gen 2 strips 560mm in 3500K. Would work great for veg and flower alike. 108 - BXEB-L0560Z-35E2000-C-B3 ...

Re: EB2 grow in small tent

Temperature is important, but I think RH is the single most important thing. Next time hang a bunch of wet towels or something in your drying space, to bring it up. Curing can save quite a lot if you cut the buds while they still have moisture... What is the ideal RH and temperature, in your opinio...

Re: Improve cheap lights

It really depends what kind of cheap lights you have. You might be able to reuse the driver, as sdfoster22 suggested, but you might also be able to use part of the fixture, heatsinking, fans, and even the PCB, depending upon what you have. I've considered doing this with a blurple LED panel I have, ...

PARduino

Here's an interesting article for those of you interested in Arduino and PAR readings: https://academic.oup.com/treephys/article/34/6/640/2338115 It looks like it's technically possible, which is what I suspected, but I was hoping the quantum (PAR) sensor would be cheaper since Lux sensors are under...

Re: EB2 grow in small tent

I think, it's just an opinion, that drying and curing process is the most important step for a high quality product but I do what I can with what I have since I cant AC the growing room. Flushing could be a bit overrated. If buds are dried too quickly, even if rehydrated, the damage is done. That's...

Re: EB2 grow in small tent

I hope the humidity isn't too low for you. I was drying at around 35-40% humidity and think it dried out too quickly. They were already crispy after only 2-3 days. Max it gets in the room is 30%rh lol That is why I did not trim We are fronting an extrem heat these days. Probably i am going to jar e...

Re: Meizhi Drivers for EB Gen 2 280mm Strips?

Just finished putting it all together and It isn't pretty yet but here is my Frankenstein of a DIY light! I used wire racks for a super cheap $1 frame from the dollar store thinking that I wont need heatsinks if the lights are running at 338mA each. Total to 16 280mm eb gen 2 strips. Reused the rea...

Re: Need input from you pros. Build vs. Buy something like optic8+

Thats really the thing, actually. There is surprisingly little info for commercial opps dealing with say cucumbers or strawberries, if you can't apply from research data with RGB diodes. A while back I was contacted by a group of friends who wanted to take over a huge greenhouse. I read pretty much...

They also have the advantage (at least for commercial gardeners) of passing some basic testing and quality control. And they're generally waterproof to allow for foliar sprays, too.
