Multimeter Setup To Check/Set Current In 6-Strip Build

Hi, I swear I've watched several videos multiple times, but I'm still unsure how to wire my multimeter (clips/probes) to check amps to my new light, so I can set and cap it. LEDG mentions "home-running" the strips, but goes into no further detail, at lease on that video. About electrical stuff, thin...

Tnutz is awesome!

That extrusion is a little more expensive, but it gives you such a clean look...definitely worth it for me.

Service at Tnutz is top-notch, too.

Congrats on the veg light!

Hey gvbz, awesome job on that light!

Finishing HLG-480H-48A/H inFlux Build. Please Help Me To Not Burn My House Down!

Hi all! I bought this constant-voltage driver for an abandoned project 18 months ago, and it's finally going into service this week in a 2' x 4' oak plywood cabinet I just built. I'm framing light with two 44-inch pieces of 1-inch extrusion, spanned by 22.5 inch heat sinks (so lights/frame just clea...

Re: Choice of strips?

Hi. I'm not familiar with any of those strips specifically, but you're asking a bang-for-the-buck type of question. What you need to determine is whether a small improvement in lighting justifies twice as much money, the answer to which is negative...for me. If they both are 90cri, then I'd get the ...

Re: Does this check out for a 2x4 area?

Nice light. Remember, if you're going to run odor control (carbon scrubber, exhaust fan) exhausting air with a passive intake, you shouldn't need to worry about heat or stagnant air. Passive vents low on one side, and exhaust pipe/scrubber/fan high on the opposite side is how I'd go; it makes for gr...

[quote=LEDG post_id=7368 time=1529732029 user_id=2 If you have a 10K ohm pot and that's not a typo, that's where your problem is. It needs to be 100K or you're only going to get 10% power. You can unhook it for max power also. [/quote] LOL...I must be getting better. As soon as I saw the one, 100K p...

The influx looks nice, 32 diodes per foot vs. only 20 diodes on the Q-series :D The catalogue is up on Digi-key, but not in stock yet... https://www.digikey.com/products/en/optoelectronics/led-lighting-cobs-engines-modules/111?k=&pkeyword=&pv1344=468&pv1344=526&pv1344=506&pv1344=475&pv1344=471&pv13...
