Re: Platinum Bubba with HLG 600
Mites are almost dealt with. The isopropyl alcohol did stress the plants a bit, seemed to kill of many adults. Going to spray with need, silica and soap to night at lights out. Change of plan. Since this strain is the slowest vegging strain in the entire galaxy, they have to veg an extra week. Whic...

Re: New member, outrageous build
Holy wow. I couldn’t get luckier with these replies, you’re answering my questions and MORE! Looks like for the build it’s gonna cost arm, maybe a leg, but I’ll survive. When my next few check come I’ll save up for the strips and drivers. In the mean time I can absolutely get started with the frame...

Re: Colour LED Strips
I'm planning a build to use on an aquarium and grow aquatic plants using the Bridgelux EB gen 2 strips. I was wondering if there are RGB or specific colour strips that would be able to run off a the same power supply? I'm looking for something that would have reds and blues specifically. If youre w...

Re: Autoflower Update
These autos are doing pretty well,,, AF674495-D117-4CAA-AE62-DEA8014076EE.jpeg The colas are getting fat and frosty. These started very slowly, I packed 11 plants in a 2ft square. As one took off, I’d move it to a 24/0... these are the last of them. What up with all the leaves? Maybe its an autoflo...

Re: Colour LED Strips
its alot easier to run'em on a constand current driver, as the voltage to current relationship for LEDs is so narrow. Literally 1v will make a huge difference. Steves LEDs sells leds on a star pcb that falls within the current range of the strips... http://www.stevesleds.com/Luxeon-SunPlus-Deep-Red-...

Re: New member, outrageous build
By default the test point on the datasheets is always under 75%, however for the F series its higher than others. Lets do some math... So we know that each diode is rated for a max of 200ma by Samsung. The double row 4’ F strips have 288 diodes with 18 parallel strings with 16 diodes in each string ...

Re: New member, outrageous build
Alright, let’s get to work. I’ve drawn up a few rough ideas of different strip layouts and I’m wrapping my head more and more around the idea. My main question at the moment really is a pretty basic one... So if I’m to have 25 led strips per side powered by 4 HLG 600 drivers, how will those be spli...

Re: 5x10x7.5, how many plants would you grow?
I agree on all accounts whole heartedly. I have a broken back and on my first grow, started 5 months ago and finished, I did s scrog. The room was 5x5 and I basically used the entire space. I wasn't able to properly maintain the foliage at the net. I just wasn't physically up to and the space was c...

Re: 5x10x7.5, how many plants would you grow?
Its a good problem to have 8-) . Growing with DWC is like driving around with a dragster, really shortens your veg period and produces huge flowers. Because of that I would go 4x2 and grow 4-5’ tall beasts and let them soak up the extra real estate. Also the extra real estate is helpful to get in an...
