Re: New member new build

PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a copy of this spreadsheet. You can probably make a configuration that works by using a different number of strips, other than 14.

The spreadsheet should hopefully help you make sense of it if you play around with it.

Re: New member new build

I'll look over it again tomorrow, maybe I'm missing something. I think you're right aiming for about 300W. Jump on uPowerTek's website, I've found their CC drivers have slightly more voltage range, you might find something that works on there. Something like a BLD-320, or BLD-240 might just do the t...

Re: Hi everyone! Big things coming :)

I would inspect each and every PCB you get from Mufue. I, personally, have been screwed by Roget. The LM561B+ (generously assuming that's what I got) is still a great diode, so I still did well with it, but it's not what I've paid for. The build quality was also sub-standard (connectors just popped...

Re: Hi everyone! Big things coming :)

Sorry I must have misunderstood your question, I thought you were asking who I got to build all of it for me. I buy the PCBs from a Chinese supplier, and build the luminaires myself. The boards are from Mufue, I've been dealing with Roget. I conducted extensive inquiries with multiple PCB manufactur...

Re: New member new build

Sorry man but even with all this maths, I cannot find a combination of strings and parallels to suit a Mean Well driver. My spreadsheet is right too, because if I manually enter permissible values based on the advertised driver specs in the datasheets, it returns a result. But none of the fields pop...

Re: New member new build

Ok I whipped up a formula to calculate which driver to use out of the entire HLG-320H and HLG-240H range. It looks like this: =IF((M4<=22)*AND(L4>6,L4<12)*AND(N4>315,N4<325),"HLG-320H-12",IF((M4<=19)*AND(L4>7.5,L4<15)*AND(N4>315,N4<325),"HLG-320H-15",IF((M4<=15)*AND(L4>10,L4<20)*AND(N4>315,N4<325),"...

Re: New member new build

Here's another table at 320W to get it close to the driver configuration you wanted.

I got the voltage at that current off Samsung's calculator (pic attached). Let me know if I you agree or disagree with my method.

Cheers

Re: New member new build

Here you go, I whipped up a spreadsheet to calculate every possible combination for you at 0.1 A. Hopefully this helps. If you like I can e-mail you the spreadsheet so you can slap in whatever "per diode" forward voltage and current specs you desire, and it'll auto calculate and populate all the fie...

Re: Hi everyone! Big things coming :)

I will be first selling these lights in New Zealand and hopefully branching into Australia shortly thereafter, but my US based partner and I are also pushing toward establishing distribution in the US.

As far as Europe is concerned, I haven't looked into it yet.
