Re: Bridgelux strips not working

Yeah I’m aware about the wagos opening up, I open them up, push the multimeter prongs in as far as they will go, then flick it back down. It helps keep it in, but it still moves around in the wago enough to make the multimeter fluctuate. I have to position the prongs so they’re pushed up against the...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

I don’t think so as where I got it from only has a 30 day return policy and its outside of that as I was waiting on all my other parts. Guess I either gotta get a new driver, or deal with it being underpowered until I can get new strips. I’m not having much luck with my first build haha. I might pos...

Re: Bridgelux strips not workin

I’ve tried playing around with the voltage and current, and I’ve noticed a few things that I think are weird. Firstly the current potentiometer doesn’t seem to do anything unless the voltage is turned all the way up. Secondly adjusting the current past a certain point dims it down again. For example...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

That's what I thought. I just figured that since the multi-meter is on 10 amps, but only has one digit before the decimal it might mean that it would display 10 amps as 1.00 meaning that .10 would be one amp, so maybe 0.07 would be 700ma? That was my best guess, and at 0.07 it seems to be about half...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

Update: The smoke seems to have been from a frayed bit of wire on one of the 12 AWG stranded wires. At least I assume this is the case, as after I noticed and re twisted the wire, it hasn't smoked again since. Ill be keeping an eye on it though. If anyone thinks it may have been something else thoug...

Bridgelux strips not working

Hey guys, I posted on here for help with my build a few times. I finally got all my parts sorted and wired up (HLG-600H-20-A, 32 2 ft bridgelux gen 2’s, using 18 solid core AWG wire to the wagos and 12 AWG stranded wire from wago to wago) and when I went to turn on my lights, they were completely of...

Re: Too much current for sockets

I never thought of that either Shimbob, I just went with what everyone said and what sounded like it would work, but if you think going with 10AWG will have an impact, I don’t mind spending a bit more. So 10AWG for all the wiring, or just the Wago-Wago?

Re: Too much current for sockets

Hydrofood and Jolly Green Giant, Ah damn it, I didn't even think of that, I just went with the driver the tool said I needed, and figured since I confirmed here that all my parts were good everything would be fine. Obviously I should have double checked everything myself instead of leaving it up to ...

Too much current for sockets

Hey guys, I posted here a couple months ago and some people helped me confirm that my parts were all good and offered some advice on heatsinking. I ended up going with 32 bridgelux 2 footer strips based on the 4x4 build that was on here but with an increase in amount of strips so I could run them lo...

Re: DIY build advice

Hey clayts, Thank you so much for that. You touched on pretty much everything I wasn't sure about. Your set up sounds pretty uch like what I'm planning except with 1 footers, I was hoping that the aliminum for the frame would be enough of a heatsink to help with temps, it's good to hear that yours i...
