Re: Bridgelux strips not working

Haha alright, for anyone that might be curious I found out what the problem is, and you're gonna laugh. I just realized when I went to buy more strips that the strips I got were gen 1 strips and not 2. So not only did I get a more inefficient model, I should have kept my original 24V driver instead ...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

This is my 2nd, if I had to get another one it’ll be my 3rd. Nothing was wrong with the 1st, I just got a 24 volt driver cause that’s what the strip tool said I’d need, not realising the tool was using gen 1 strips. So I sold that for $100 just trying to get some money to put towards this one after ...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

Yeah I’m gonna have to get another multimeter, fingers crossed that’s the issue, I’ll update here when that happens. Yeah I don’t think it smoked due to too much current or anything. Granted I don’t know very much about this stuff, The potentiometers were turned right down when it smoked a bit from ...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

Also another thing that might be a dumb question, in the diagram you uploaded, from the top to bottom it goes the line of positives, then the negatives, then positive, then negative. In mine I have it with positive being at the top, then negative, then negative again, then positive again on the bott...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

Yeah, I've re-checked them at least twice everytime I've made a post here and as I've been tending to my plants. I'm 100% sure its all positive to positive and negative to negative. I think the smoke was due to the strayed wire being frayed from being pushed into the wago while not being twisted pro...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

That's pretty much what I have, except the driver is in the middle going out, and the last 2 holes that are empty in the last wagos in that diagram you uploaded would be connected to strips instead of being empty.

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

I tested the current on a single strip, with both the voltage and current turned up, I'm reading .37ma. This just keeps seeming weirder and weirder. Yes, 16 strips on each lead, 32 total. When I said "the first wago" I meant the first, up top on the photo. They would actually be the last wagos since...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

Haha yeah, I figured that was a typo. All good haha. About 5 minutes after turning it up to max, It's already uncomfortable as soon as I put my thumb on the back of a strip. It doesn't feel like it will seriously burn me, but it's definitely very uncomfortable and I'd have to remove my thumb after 5...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

Haha no offense taken, as I said I had to make some 18AWG wire longer than preferred, and I had some trouble converting all the wire over to a flat service and having it all be visible. Basically each strip from the top down is just running to the closest port of each wago. So the first 4 strips are...

Re: Bridgelux strips not working

I made a rough drawing of my frame, hopefully this helps and is clear enough, I don't have much drawing skills in real life let alone using a laptop trackpad as a pen. I know the wiring isn't very neat, I've never done it before and ran out of 12 AWG wire and can't get any IRL, so I did the best I c...
