Yeah I'd tend to agree with that.
I'm a mechanic/auto service tech by trade. Mostly doing electrical stuff so it's nice to be able to hopefully pick it up quickly. Lots of numbers and stuff to learn but I know it will help me long term on how to manage my lighting.
Thanks for the input fellas.

Re: Complete Noob pondering DIY build
I may end up looking at one of the 4x4 builds but I'm going to dig into learning alot of the technical side first here before I dive in haha.

Re: Complete Noob pondering DIY build

However, the photon output from some of these Samsung diodes are unmatched by blurples and even HPS if they were all pulling the same wattage. Also, allegedly the Samsung diodes are of much higher quality than the 3-5w diodes on most blurpl...

The money I've spent on them together, I could have built a higher quality light. Mostly looking for better PAR/light intensity compared to wh...

Complete Noob pondering DIY build
Okay, so started out hastefully without research, bought some shitty mars LED blurple to handle my first set up. Once I started researching, LED's seem like the seemingly obvious way to go. I'm technically inclined, capable DIY'er for most things, but once the technical stuff starts getting tossed a...
