Damn thats a lot for a small driver.
I would look at the cheap models from Thomas research products, I don't think they loose in any metric.
Also if your in the US, I think ELG drivers dont give full output from 110v AC...

Re: Utilizing 75W Thomas Research driver
For these strips TRP have two interesting drivers. The one you are looking at will give 60w @20v. There's another 40w 22v driver that costs around 6e. it's about 4x smaller and lighter. The 75w driver is 88% efficient and the 40w driver is 86% efficient. With minor heatsinking I usually drive 2 stri...

Re: Greenery Bob's silly 5x5
Are the popcorn areas filling themselves? When testing sidelighting I had a cookies kush that responded very well with low light levels, so on the next round I grew a huge tree of Ice, and tried similar power levels with it. Ended up with a 6ft plant that had 4 feet of popcorn. Lots of edibles. I do...

Re: Looking for pics of frames for strip build
Personally my strips are often very close to the walls, if they are reflective. If not, I would add an extra circle of strips below my main light, pointing towards the bottom center of the tent at approximately a 45deg angle. I find it gives me 30-50% extra penetration, although penetration is reall...

Re: New Growing
If your trying to optimize your space, you try to keep the node distance such that the flowers can fill the spaces between the nodes. 5cm +- a little is perfect. Right now I have one plant that has maybe 15cm node distance, the flowers maybe take 7cm so there is a lot of wasted space. Its a sativa a...

Really a question about how hard you will drive. @700mA they don't need a heatsink at all. I think that will handle even running full power, @1400mA.

Re: 2ft and 4ft 8020 Strip Planning Help?
If you want to drive them ultra low, there is a batch of 48v 250mA 12w Thomas Research Drivers at digikey that cost about 5$ a piece. Perhaps thats less power then your looking for? should give a bit under 10w, way over 1500lm a piece. I used these to setup some lights for my mom, and they were pret...

Re: Looking for pics of frames for strip build
Here's another vote for threaded rods, if in a location where 2020 aluminium extrusion is not readily and cheaply available. If modular extrusions are available for a cheap price, then thats your ticket to a clean build... and it will allow you to tune the angle of your strips. I planned to do a bui...
