Re: 3M permanent double sided tape
If you're going to be to mounting rigid LED strips to an aluminum heatsink or 'U' channel, this is the type of tape to use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075FQKJSB/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I7ZV45RTCER3P&colid=34U0SR7UA55S2 Two-sided thermal transfer tape. If you're looking for a durable, high temperature...

Re: Samsung F564B Linear Strip Build
The back of a QB is very smooth aluminum. These strips are quite rough and uneven. In most builds I’d say yes, absolutely you should use TIM, but knowing that you’re running at such low power, you might get away with it. You could always try with and without to see before you do them all. Thanks fo...

What about thermal paste? Is it really needed?

Re: Samsung F564B Linear Strip Build
Thanks for the reply Ted!
I'm thinking about wiring a multimeter.
I'm in Europe we use 220-240V. Would this one work?

Is this the correct parallel wiring to avoid thermal runway, voltage drop, etc. bullshit?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Thermal Switch
I think per-strip or per-group of strips would be the best way to do it, but that'd be a lot of work (depending on how many strips you run). Which strips will you run and how hard will you drive them? My build: LED DigiKey 28 x LM561C F Series FB22B Linear Strip 3000K 80CRI (SI-B8V521B20WW) Driver ...

Re: Minimum Amp per Diode with LM561C
I found many statements in the web that I could underdrive them as low as my wallet can. All I'm going to need is extra diodes. I can build 4000 diodes at 50mA each for 600W or 2000 diodes at 100mA each for 600W. More diodes brings more uniformity and better efficacy but what's the real cost for und...
