Re: Driver for (9) QB288 V2
How many total watts are you planning to run through them? And can you be more specific about what you mean by adjustable?

Re: new here and to diy need a little help
On the drivers, how many plugs doesn't matter. What matters, and is unknown, is if the high rush of starting current will be enough to trip your breaker. I don't have those specific data sheets in front of me, but you could be looking at a peak of over 200A. Old style slow-acting dual metal (the rig...

Re: new here and to diy need a little help
Assuming you'll have them on timers, you can use 3 timers, so each being slightly off will limit inrush current. Or, get an inrush limiting device. Running 3 320Hs will should need no more than 10A on 110V, so most circuits can handle 3 drivers running - it's starting that might get you. Get quick c...

Re: Bridgelux 2ft x12 beginner questions
You never want PWM dimming itself. It's just cheap and easy. The 3in1 dimming on CV, CC, or CP AB/B Mean Well drivers is constant voltage/current/power, generally down to around 50% or so (after which it can become non-linear). It can be controlled by a PWM signal, but is not PWM dimming. Generally,...

Re: Newbie - Id sincerely appreciate help with a single or dual strip build
Just a small generic box. With Radio Shack gone, you probably have to go to music stores to find any, locally, these days, if you don't have a local non-chain electrical supply place (I can walk a few hundred feet and buy them retail, but I don't where else within 100 miles that I might find any, un...

Re: Project Box Housing for Potentiometer
If it's just a potentiometer, nothing matters except that it's held in place, and wires going to it don't short. It's microAmps or nanoAmps worth of 10v, assuming a typical Mean Wells PSU, so there are no safety issues or anything. Normal large pots are panel mount, with a washer and nut, so you can...

Re: I'm confused, eb gen2 series wiring
Each strip only sees 20V. The same amount of current passes through all the LEDs in series, and the voltage per emitter balances out (within Vf variations). The 60V could be the max voltage for the diodes, multiplied to account for series wiring, with a little headroom removed for Vf differences (af...

Re: I'm confused, eb gen2 series wiring
That's 60V across each strip. Using anything close to that for more than a few milliseconds would burn out the LEDs. With 10 in series at 200V, each strip gets about 20V. 60V is probably the spec they used for designing PCB trace (pour, more aptly - what look like traces are the gaps in the copper) ...

Re: Full spectrum LED strips tape for growing succulents and indoor plants
High CRI 4000K to 5000K should do great. I overwintered mine the last couple years with high CRI ~4300K boards (maker long gone, RIP PFD). Due to availability, I am pretty much standardizing on Vesta strips (3850K, if you wire up both sides at the same current), now, including for added human lighti...

Looking for fixture enclosures
I'm trying to find, preferably in small quantities, enclosures like hanging 2ft and 4ft fluorescent grow lights are built into, so that I have nice little class I indoor lights. I've had no luck, so far. Anyone have any links, or Alina a keywords?
