No way to get proper heat sinks in Europe

I had the same problems. Almost ordered from the US but due to the weight it is not a good option. You can source that stuff in Germany too.

I get heatsinks in Germany from resellers of this company http://www.fischerelektronik.de/ Look for STRANGKÜHLKÖRPER (funny for English natives)
They have almost every heatsink imaginable. I would say it is like heatsinkusa in the US.
I did my build with those heatsinks, each 60cm long 10cm wide with 2,2cm fins.
Didn't tap any holes. Just kapton tape and thermal compound - hey if growma... does it in it tutorial then I can do it for a lamp that only will be used 4 months.

I almost went for a build with cxb3590 and active cooling, it seemed more reasonable to me than paying more on heatsinks then on leds. Many people did build with arctic coolers. https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/arctic ... a87ff6_pla

So I did some research myself. Found out that the passive heatsinks from Kingbrite / Alibaba are pretty expensive.
costs are $10 for the Ø133mm to 15$ for the Ø163mm but shipping to Europe (NL) cost at least $70. Combined with the customs/VAT comes for me, for 4 heatsinks:
4 heatsinks: $40/60
Shipping: $70
VAT (21%): $24 / $28
handling customs (DHL): $22

Total of 40+70+24+22=$156 for the 4 passive heatsinks (Ø133) = $39 each!

Now i got these active Alpine 64 Plus for €7,5 ($9,5) each on amazon.de with free shipping.

Even though I've been looking for passive cooling for weeks, i can't overcome this price difference and ordered these.
