Hey guys,

First post and coming in hot. I frequented this forum and others for info and advice over the past couple of months so I thought I’d share my light build.

The frame is made of 1/16 1”x1” aluminum angle stock. The boards are from King Brite, 3000k 80cri LM301H with Cree Xp-e2 660.

I decided on going with 6 boards to fill my 4x4x8 grow tent. Each pair of boards are powered by an HLG-240H-48AB which are on separate dimmers to adjust for hot spots and strain sensitivity. They are also on separate timers, turning on 1 min apart from each other so the circuit can handle the driver in rush.

I also added 4 560mm 730nm strips powered by an HLG-80H-C700B. I have them set at 10w (2.5w per strip) and use them for 3 mins at lights off. Daily light cycle is 13/11.

In hind site the amount of far red leds is overkill. Next run the 730 strips will be replaced for 450nm strips to counter flower on set stretch and to provide a blue spike near the final weeks of flower. With DIY initiator pucks for the 730 needs.

Cool frame, nice stuff! I heard that if you put plants in darkness for 3 days and then flower them they hardly stretch at all!
