Hello there,

I am putting together few lamps (up to 4,2kWs ish) so 700/piece and could you an experts opinion/advice about the setup I came up with.

so here we go:

6x CXM32 gen4 (4 of them driven by HLG-480h-2100c / another 2 by HLG-240h-2100c )

lens i was looking at Stella WSM/HB from LEDIL.

Heatsinks I thought would be fine are:
https://www.digikey.cz/product-detail/c ... D/12090796

2 of these, cooled with a fan(I havent chosen). so 3COBs on each sink.

What do you think about it? Its my first real time putting together some LEDs. really would appreaciate your opinions advices how to improve/eventually what to substitute for what.

also I found in some topics saying gen3 luminus are more efficiant. Would you recommend me to go for 3000K90cri gen3s instead of gen4?
gen3s comes way cheaper however price isnt priority I look at.

Thanks for tips..

I build myself an array of 32 cob with cxm22 from luminus and found that its much less risk of problem to use passive cooling instead of active cooling, especially when you have so many cobs.

I would choose to what wattage you want to run your CXM32 than find a heatsink that can radiate the wattage you will be pulling.

I am kinda first-timer on this1, any help/advice is welcome.

I am playing with configuration of the whole set,

deciding between CV or CC

2x480h-54a (4cxm32 each) // or 4x240h-54a (2each)

or building them on 240h-c-2100b(2COBs)/eventually 480h-c-2100b(4Cobs)
as these components come the best at the prize (I am mounting more than 60 of those CXMs)

What do you think is C.V. a better option than C.C.?
I found CV to be more potential. as output 6.9A(@ 480h-54a) devided by 4 comes 2225mA per COB instead of 480h-c-2100b 2100mA.

however some ppl said I wont be able to keep equal current at them.
Let me know what you think.

I have 2 of these: 320-48ab running 3 QBs very nice
also 480h-48a running 4QBs.

As I said, my first really building. dont want to blow it up.

Cheers

and ofc.

second question is

2x 36-48inch thermal sink (4each) (with 1-2fans/ or without?)

or shall i go for 60x single COB cooler (example https://www.digikey.cz/product-detail/c ... D/10414922)
for each. - cooled or not?
