Greetings!

So, another noob thread. I've read so many forum posts and DIY articles that my head is swimming... :?

I've built a 'grow box' out of 3/4" plywood - 4 ft tall x 4 ft wide x 18 inches deep. Basically, the largest I could build with two 4 x 8 sheets of plywood. Inside painted flat white, poorly hinged doors, cheap casters to allow it to be moved around, with a hole cut to accommodate power cords, and a square hole cut for input air (hoping to cover with a heating vent cover eventually, but for now, just covered with screen door material).

My goal is to be able to set up a SOG with maybe 2 or 3 plants max, trying to keep the grow area to 18 inches by 3 feet or less, leaving a bit of room on one end for a fan and eventually a filter once I get into flower. At present I have a 3 week old plant under a 125W CFL with a reflector. (http://ontariogrowerssupply.com/page.ph ... d=10403636).

After doing some reading, I now realize that 6500K won't work well for flowering, so... Looking for 'cost effective' but expandable and maintainable solutions. Looked at a bunch of the blurple lights on Amazon like this (http://a.co/3MTCFcg), but now reading that full spectrum light is better, and that its typically cheaper to build something yourself than to buy pre-made, so here am...

The article 'Build an LED COB Grow Light' (http://ledgardener.com/build-led-grow-light/) looks fairly straightforward, but I'm finding that its definitely NOT straightforward sourcing the parts - especially in Canada, as another canuck has said.

I think what I need is about the same size/power as in the article - say ~200W. I have all the tools, soldering irons, heatshrink stuff at home already, but finding all the right components is about as easy as herding cats...

I guess what I'm looking for is someone to do all the hard work - spec a small system like in the article, and source all the parts from a Canadian supplier or suppliers. I'd be happy to share my build if I can actually get to that point!

Thanks in advance for any help that you guys can provide. And huge thanks to LEDG for all your hard work writing up those articles and videos, and putting this site together!

Cheers - and Happy 420!

I went with Bridgelux EB 4' strips and a Hlg 600w PS. For a 4x4. Your set on cobs?
