I haven't been growing long, but in the short time that I have - I've been wondering what's up with OG strains...

I finally got 'em today. But I've already got a tent full of girls ready to flower.

  • The Nirvana Papaya on the right has been vegging since mid-september
  • TGA - Querkle on the left
  • And a monster cropped Violator Kush-clone , from my first grow
As I was finishing my last grow, I decided to try coco. I picked up grow tray and thought I'd try a 3 x 3 sea-of-green:

  • There's one Querkle in there
  • The rest are from breeder: Mass Medical Strains
    • Star Pupil
    • Pineapple Flo
    • PuTang
    • These are all naturally purple

At the moment, I've 3000K QBs over the soil plants and 3500K Vero COBs over the tray. You can see I've got three more 2700K QBs chilling above, turned off at the moment. And I got the 20 Cree XP-E "photo-red" kit from Rapid yesterday, which will be going in there before the weekend... see you soon for an update. BTW - if I didn't already say so, flowering-cycle starts today!

Everything is going along pretty easily. No drama so far.

The plants on the left go back to September. The Papaya, in-back, on the right is the oldest and took time to grow and strengthen up these 30 or so tops...

I just hope it has the juice to take them the distance.

The ones in the tray, except for the manifolded Star Pupil in the back left, I germ’d in the first week of October. I topped em, waited a week and started flowering just before Halloween.

See anything that looks like it requires attention?

Hey all,

Thanks for checking in.

I've been getting some negative comments when I've shared these on other forums, so I'm prepared for what's about to come.

Start of week 7

The entire garden:

  • I don't even know what to say about this girl... I let her grow and topped her. She did the rest.
You may not be able to tell from these pics, but the Querkle is really special.

I'm trying to find that one strain.... the one that just seems to grow effortlessly, produce well, possess name-recognition - and that I enjoy using.

I just bought and popped some Ocean Grown, Vader OG seeds - but that Querkle... the manifold didn't show it off.

This is only small because I grew it this way... this strain has big potential.

They look lovely -- I have no idea what the negative comments could be -- but I do wonder, why did you trim so much?

Bingo - that didn't take long.

I'm sick.

I can't help myself.

Also, more leaf mass = very high humidity, and heat.

Lastly, I've only been growing cannabis (and making LEDs) since March of this year... I really have no (true) idea what I'm doing.

Maybe it'll turn out that I get the best results with little to no training or defoliation - which would be great. But all I've done these past nine months are experiments.

When this run is done, the real growing will begin... it's either going to be TGA's Querkle or Ocean Grown's Vader OG.

The mom will veg in my new 2 x 2 (still just a skeleton). By the time they're ready for flowering, I'll either have a new 3 or 4' square tent (not flowering in a 2 x 4 again) or if I'm far enough along, I may have the fixture hung from the ceiling over an elevated tray.

I'm going to start a new thread for this, but I'm going to be looking for some advice on how to prep for this next run - I want to run monster-cropped clones and would like to get feedback on that idea.

Thanks all.
