Okay... I'll go first.

I've always equated growing weed with alchemy, as far-fetched as magic that could turn lead into gold. This is how I felt about growing my own weed:
  • "So what, I'm going to grow this extremely valuable crop in my basement from what? A seed?
Give me a break... honestly, I thought the videos around the web showing these half-wits and their crazy yields had been planted there as an elaborate hoax. Whose sole aim was to trick me into buying the equivalent of Jack's Magic Beans.

That was before I stumbled on to this site... and now there's no looking back!

I'm 10 weeks (2nd week of flower) into my first grow, and I popped 5 more seeds this weekend to start vegging, so they can go right to the flower tent when it is unoccupied.

The flowering plants are 5 x "Violator Kush" and 3 x Blueberry Kush (all fem).

The seedlings are from TGA Genetics (reg seeds only) and they're "Jack's Cleaner 2".

I'm going to try to attach some pics, but the file sizes are pretty big.

I'd be interested to know if anyone thinks these things stand a chance at actually producing any buds.

Actually, any feedback at all would be great as I don't know anyone who grows that I can show these to, so I've just been doing what I think will work based on my own research.

Here are some pics:

Beautiful plants and great pictures, Brad. Thanks for sharing. Do you have any previous growing experience?

If I knew anything about growing weed I'd offer an opinion but alas, it's only vegetables for me until July 2018 when it's legal nation-wide. To a weed layman like me though, they look incredible.

Wow, thanks, man! This was my first attempt to grow anything from seed...

I'm a city dweller (I live right outside Boston), so I don't have my own yard, but I make due with a few flower boxes on my patio and more recently, I've gotten into growing potted plants/flowers - which I enjoy tremendously, both inside and outside.

I bet you can't wait for the laws to change there (I'm not sure I would have started if MA didn't just legalize growing).

Your plants look fantastic. You're on the fast track to growing some gold. The usual mistakes first time growers do is showing the plants excess love: excess nutrients, excess water. (Other mistakes I've made had to do with odor management and figuring out how to automate watering.) Wish I could be more helpful, but it really doesn't look like anything needs to be amended. Given the space though I'm obliged to ask: what lights do you use?

Later tonight my 2x4 should be illuminated by 5 Vero 29 SEs @ 2 x 3000K, 2 x 3500 and a 4000K. Powered by an HLG 320 1050B.

I can't wait to see how they react to the difference in spread and overlapping compared to the Rapid Vero kit - which don't get me wrong, I haven't felt I, or the plants were at any disadvantage using.

Given the new direction I've found, i feel like - it was the most incredible $220 I've ever spent.

You beat me to the post😂 I was prepping some stuff. I have grown since oct 2016 and since then pulled a close to 2 lbs of decent bud. I'm a recent convert to COB I watch a lot of growmanu5 and greengenes. Building first one now. I'm a strain junkie been buying up strains for preservation and breeding. I love to have variety on hand. I have made more friends in the cannabis realm then ever when I grew hot peppers 🌶 for 10 years.

I'm on second seed round now, it's reassuring that I can make seed and know what went into getting that living perfect holder for life. Truely magic beans.

I'm about 4 hours from you in Bangor Maine Area. Check out my Instagram for weed porn. mainegrower

Hey MG,

I started following you on IG, but I think you may need to approve it - possibly?

You mentioned, positively, the people that growing cannabis has put in your orbit. The same has been the case for me in the both the LED and cannabis communities so far - everyone (pretty much) is so giving of their knowledge and time. I hope I'll be able to look back at it - years later, and say the same.

And who knows, I get to ME a few times for camping (South Arm in Andover, ME) in the summer and skiing (Sunday River in Bethel) in the winter, maybe I'll run into you!

Also, I wouldn't have believed it, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, but:

Those are definitely buds. I'm pretty relieved!

Thanks all!

yeah I approved you on IG. I turned on private because I had a few idiots who thought they would be rude, so I blocked them and put it private so they woudn't see my updates. But seeing now I blocked them I guess they could just make accounts and go request to see my pages again..lol.. o well maybe ill make it public.
