So, including shipping, custom, VAT etc. I can get four QB288 including heatsinks from Kingbrite for $240.
Seems like less hassle than a strip build, is there any reason to build with strips other than a little bit better coverage?

This is correct!
There’s a huge thread on RIU for Eb gen2 thermals.

I saw claims that you can run bridgelux eb gen2's at nominal power rates without heat sinks. They were claiming 26w per 4 footer is fine. With the U channels you can surely go higher then that, especially if there is any air movement in your space.

Glad to see your growing peppers and vegetables!!! I do the same.
I have builds with Eb gen2 strips and Atreum 144.2 boards. Both give me similar result. Greens grow better for me under Eb strips running more of them ultra soft for amazing coverage while getting barely warm to the touch.

Honestly tho, if your just gonna build one light, I would go with Atreum 144.2 if the shipping is alright with you.
Only $34 and they don’t need any heatsink driven at 60w. None whatsoever. Even without any air movement, at 65w the boards only get up to 45c-50c. With little air movement over the board that number drops very quickly. I drive mine between 35-45 watts and they are only warm to the touch. I have several of them and They have proven tremendous value to me. The 144.2 is the way to go.

Just my thoughts...

I want to order from KingBrite or Meijiu (alibaba) also.

Want to get mix ratio 1:1 of 3000/4000k LM301b and a extra strip with RED 660/730 4:1 ratio (size L286 X W27 X 1.6MM)

Both friendly service , but only KingBrite is able to provide RED 660/730 nm
Meijiu has only 660nm

Meijiu has also QB board with 660nm integrated, but the i loose option to turn RED off or control separately in Growth phase.

So thinking what to order RED 660/730 nm should be good kick for flowering phase as i understood after reading some articles

Mixing 3k and 4K is unnecessary and proven to just equal 35k.
You can avoid that complexity in your search for the proper board

hm do u have some details to this?

As ive checked 4000k has more blue so i wanted to reach better growth....

If they are able to build it for same price (30-40usd) like 3000k or 4000k, why not?

But im open to get more info on that...

It’s personal preference really. Better growth is subjective.

Mixing spectrums will just equal the average.

I don’t get caught up in all that but there are lots of good threads here as well as RIU.
